Incredible paint!! 500 miles on meticulous build.
1968 Dodge Coronet Description
Wow, body and paint does not get better then this. Only 500 miles on a 4 year meticulous restoration.
EXTERIOR: Outstanding! The car is on the lift right now and I'm looking at it at eye level, wow is it straight. There is not a bubble, even down low. It's just as shiny at the rockers as it is on the roof. Laser straight without a ripple. Gorgeous color has a clear coat polished glass. It looks like you could dive into. You can't feel the bumblebee stripe. Jambs are just as slick. Detailed out with new weatherstrips, rubber bumpers, latches look new. I love the tire/wheel combination. Has the modern version of the Magnum 500 wheel- 17 inch Billet aluminum with clear coat finish. Each is wrapped in performance G-Force tires with redline. All of the trim is excellent. Rear tail panel is pristine. New windshield.
INTERIOR: Has custom reclining bucket seats. Reupholstered using original pattern. It's a dark charcoal with black piping. Rear seat and door panels are reupholstered too. All new seat belts, carpet and dash pad. Headliner is brand new and fits tight as a drum. The dome light and console lights work. Has custom gauges mounted below the dash.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Show quality. The engine bay and under the hood is painted as nice as the exterior of the car, that's no exaggeration. Has performance built 383 motor. Detailed in graphite color paint, has a powder coated Edelbrock intake with a big dual feed Quick Fuel carb. Distributor is new, has headers. Dressed up with matched set of Mopar finned aluminum valve covers and air cleaner. It features power steering, new power brake system. Upgraded with an aluminum radiator and electric fan. Alternator is chrome plated. Has MSD plug wires neatly run in a chrome holder. The wiring harness is new.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Possibly the nicest paint finish I've ever seen inside of a trunk compartment. It's better than the exteriors on most cars. The metal is pristine and the paint is like glass. Has a brand new trunk mat and weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: Very impressive, the metal is absolutely clean. The lower inner rockers are still the original with fancy drain plug holes. The floor pans and frame rails are clean. It's been prepped and sprayed with a lite rubberized undercoat. The front end is completely restored. It's been apart, painted and rebuilt. Has tubular upper control arms. Looking up at the motor it still looks fresh. Has a high torque starter. Rebuilt 727 automatic trans is painted to match the motor. Custom driveshaft connects to a rear end with gloss black finish. Has a fat custom exhaust, looks like three inch. Polished stainless MagnaFlow mufflers. New fuel system-tank, straps, sending unit and lines. All new brake system, upgraded to Wilwood disc in front. New brake hoses, lines and e-brake cable assembly.
