Up for auction is this extremely nice 1987 Dodge D-50 Mini - Ram pickup in fantastic condition. Purchased in the late 80’s with 37,000 miles on it, and owning a bodyshop, I decided to make a convertible out of it. Can’t remember the manufacturer of the kit to make it a lift off top, but it now has a lift off (steel) roof. I lowered it with short “Stillen” coils in front (no dropped spindles for Dodge back then) and a “Stillen” drop kit for the rear, with a frame notch. All of the ground effects are also “Stillen” products, which were the best available at the time. A short whale tail completed the body modifications. Inside, the seats and door panels are done with bright neon looking accent colors on matching fabric covered seats and door panels to go with the exterior paint scheme. The rubber floor matting has been replaced with a complete carpeting job. The under body has a complete set (4) neon tubes that create a purple ground lighting effect, a rear neon license plate frame, and a neon shift knob. The flush fitting tonneau cover is color co-ordinated and mint! Of course, being built over 25 years ago, the stereo has a cassette player, not a c/d unit, but it plays perfectly. In all of these years since completion, I only put approximately 1500 miles on it, it now has 38,728 miles on it since new. The inside of the bed is as new, with zero corrosion or dents. The entire truck is absolutely rust-free, dent-free, scratch-less, and like new. Obviously, after all of these years, there are some very minor paint issues, but you really have to look hard to find them. I just replaced the calipers, brake pads, rotors, rear drums, wheel cylinders, belts, re-built the Mikuni carb, new battery, oil and filter, and 4 new radials with zero miles on them. The wheels are Ultra brand, and mint. It runs perfect, and always has. It’s always been kept running, but wasn’t moved very often, or very far, just around my yard, so the brakes needed to be re-freshed and now they are brand-new. It is a four cylinder / 5-speed pickup. Essentially, a nearly new pickup for very reasonably money! I am retired and live in Myrtle Beach S.C., but the truck is stored at my shop in Danielson Connecticut 06239. If I had the storage space here, I’d bring it down, after all, I’ve owned it for about 27 years. There are no titles on vehicles in Connecticut under 1995, but I have just registered it in Connecticut last month, and will include the current registration, and the documents needed to support a painless registration for you in another state. You can email me anytime at cliff@cbasley.com should you desire pictures with the roof in place, I don’t know why I don’t have any to put in this ad, but I don’t! My grandson can send pictures to me. Also email me with questions. I can easily set up an appointment for anyone to see it, should you live near Ct. A $500.00 paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction end, balance by cash or wire transfer only, otherwise truck sits for two weeks, or until your bank / personal check clears. All transportation costs are buyers... Please, NO low ball offers or internet re-sellers!
