1986 Dodge Power Wagon Ram 150 Custom Description

1986 Dodge Ram 150 Custom with just under 60k original miles. I bought it from the original family owners about three years ago and have not driven it much, but have fixed a few things. It's been driven less than 10,000 miles since 1990. The first 50k-plus miles were put on the truck within the first four years in the San Diego, California area where it was purchased new and driven by the first owner who was based at Camp Pendleton. Carl Burger's Dodge World in La Mesa, Ca. is exactly where it was bought new on 6/24/1986. He, the owner, then sold the truck to his grown son in Medford, Oregon in 1990 with 52,851 miles, and the odometer reading-date by the Oregon DMV is 07/10/1990. The dash and interior are in very good condition. The drivers side of the seat is a bit worn, as would be expected on a vehicle this age. The truck was never used for anything more than occasionally hauling yard debris to the local dump in Medford, and it apparently had a top-end rebuild approximately 5000 miles ago. The oil pressure is amazing and it runs very strong, however, a pair of headers was installed, but it still has its original smog pump and single exhaust which needs a muffler. All the lights, and blinkers work fine. The heat works, and is currently coming out of the dash vents only. The a/c does not blow cold, but the system is complete, hooked up and intact. It has its original 3-speed 727 automatic transmission which works fine. I don't think the truck has ever towed anything. It had no rear bumper from the time it was new, to the time I bought it, and I installed the bumper a couple years ago that is visible in the photos. There's no evidence of a frame-mounted hitch ever installed, nor is there evidence of trailer wiring. It does have a slightly weak left front spring which I corrected with spring stabilizers. I installed a new-used windshield wiper motor, two of the three wiper mechanism-grommets and new blades. The windshield washer squirter-lines are either clogged or it needs a new squirter-pump at the bottom of the reservoir. It's had a recent oil-change and runs quite well. The brakes work great also, however, it's time for a set of front pads and rear shoes pretty much immediately before it's driven any distance. The Goodyear Wranglers are quite old and should be replaced as well. I simply have too many vehicles and this one I cannot keep sitting. Over all, it is a pretty good, old honest pickup that needs some minor tlc to be a daily driver. It's all original, has never been wrecked and has absolutely no rust what so ever. It has a clean Oregon title in my name and is being sold as is, where it sits, and can be driven, but it is recommended that it be moved any significant distance on a trailer in its current condition, needing tires etc. This vehicle is located in Christmas Valley, Oregon 97641. Transport is solely the responsibility of the buyer, and I will accommodate and assist the buyer in propagating arrangements within reason. Will sell to an overseas buyer and ship overseas. Overseas buyers must contact me to discuss arrangements, and overseas shipping expenses are solely the responsibility of an international buyer. Please contact me with any relevant questions. Thank you for looking. UPDATE: The conflict in mileage-recording evident with Autocheck is due to previous repair shops that recorded repairs done, and posted the mileage at 100k more than it had, or has, because of the age of the vehicle, and that it does NOT have the extra digit on the odometer. View the report and see the pattern. It sat around for the most part of the last thirty years and was driven very locally. The previous owner's high school-aged son, at the time, overheated the engine one day driving it to school. The top end of the engine was rebuilt and they tried to hot-rod it a bit with headers and chrome valve covers, which all happened a little more than 5000 miles or 20+ years ago. The date-code on the tires is 2201 (2001).The truck has 59,694 original miles on it as of today, 03/21/2020. I've driven it a total of 12 miles and I am the third owner. It's a decent old pickup that I rescued from a family who neglected it after many years, and I've done some work to make it a relatively worthy truck again. Its not perfect, it's used, it's 34 years old and happens to have fairly low miles, and they certainly aren't all highway miles, and it has not been garaged, but is in pretty good shape for an '86 Dodge 1/2-ton pickup.
