1970 Dodge Coronet Super Bee Description
This is a hot looking car with some real muscle! They started with an exceptionally clean 50,000 mile Coronet and did a ground up restoration creating this Super Bee bad boy.
EXTERIOR: It has a great stance, high impact color and it's decked out with the stripes, scoops and a spoiler. The body looks to be real nice, it's straight and fits really well. It is smooth even along the bottoms. The gaps around the doors, hood and trunk are real nice. It is painted sublime green. No issues, it has a smooth glossy finish. New C-stripe Super Bee decals. Up front the grills are restored, the bumpers have been rechromed, the emblem and hood pins look new. The stainless trim all around the windows and gutters are either new or polished. In back the bumper has been rechromed, the tail panel is exceptionally nice. The glass is real nice. The door jambs are painted smooth, the still plates are shiny, the rubber's been replaced. The vinyl top looks to be like new. I love the staggered size wheels, much fatter in back. They are painted body color, the poverty caps are mint, the tires are BFGs.
INTERIOR: Inside the car is in excellent shape. The seats have been reupholstered, it has buckets in front. The door panels, dash pad, headliner, carpet are new. The metal was repainted nice. The plastic trim, instrument panel, rear shelf, glovebox are all excellent. The factory radio is in place. The interior lights work. It does have a factory tachometer and it also has an oil and water gauge mounted below. The best part is the pistol grip 4-speed sticking out of the floor!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 383 motor was rebuilt with a performance stroker kit. It runs strong. It looks stock from the outside, stock manifolds. The dual snorkle air cleaner was repainted with crinkle finish, has new decal. Everything in here looks fresh. The engine bay is clean, straight metal with no signs of rust or damage. The vin number on the core support matches the car. The distributor and alternator look new. The battery is new, bolted down properly, new cables. The washer bottle is new, squirters are hooked up. The radiator looks good with the proper shroud. It has power brakes and power steering.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Completely solid, clean metal. The trunk floor is smooth, the quarter panels look to be the originals. It was all painted sublime green. The tail light housings are clean. New decals and weather strip.
UNDERSIDE: The front end steering and suspension is all new- bushings, ball joints, center link, sway bar etc. In back the leaf springs, shackles, shocks and swaybar look new. Looking up at the motor it looks new. The starter, motor mounts, freeze plugs, inspection cover are new. It has a fresh 833 4-speed, new Hurst linkage. The driveshaft has fresh u-joints. In back there is an 8 3/4 rear end with 4.10 posi gears. The brake system has been redone. It has disc conversion in front, new hoses, e-brake assembly is hooked up. It has a great sounding 2 1/5 inch exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. The fuel tank and straps were replaced. The floors are solid metal.
I think this car is exceptionally clean. It is also exciting. Just looking at it is fun, driving it is exhilarating!
