1971 Dodge Charger Description

Real deal and rare 1971 Dodge Charger SUPER BEE,originally equipped with a 383HP motor. This is not a clone or "tribute" car. This information can be documentedby decoding the vin#.This project was started several years ago and never completed. It started with a very solid car that spent most of its life in dry New Mexico. Most of the dirty work has been done and many thousands of dollars have been spent too get this far.The bodywork and repaint of the original red color was done quite a few years ago.It is a very nice driver quality job with only a few minor chips/flaws.A good polish and detailing would bring it to the next level. It has been stored indoors since thebody restoration. The door jambs, trunk, and engine bay were prepped and painted also. The body is very solid.Upon close inspection I do see evidence of some bodyfiller in the lower rear quarter panels. The rest of the body panels including the doors, fenders, rockers, hood, decklid, roof, etc appear to have had very verylittle or no rust repair at all.The floors, front and rear frame rails, trunk pan, and entire undercarriage are in amazing original condition.I could only find a small pencil sized hole in the drivers floor panand that's it! The fender emblems, hood emblems, decals, and stripes are new.The rear bumper is brand new.The front bumper is original and has lost some ofits shine. The trunk weatherstrip is new.I have brand new door weatherstrips, tailight and marker light lens gaskets, and a rubber body bumper kitstill in the box.The interior needs work such as seat covers, carpet, headliner, etc. The door panels are not that bad.All the glass is good and the windows roll up and down nicely. The original motor and trans arelong gone. The original 8 3/4 rear axle is still in the car.I am including a 1973 440 4 barrel big block and a 727 autotrans. This motor and trans were working when pulled from a wreck..The motor still turns freely.I would freshen them up or at least inspect them beforeinstallation. There is a nice vintage set of aluminum slot wheels on the car with two brand new tires and two good used tires.I have a small pile of parts that go with the car but some things are missing like the exhaust manifolds and radiator, etc.I am willing to temporarily install the motor/trans if it is necessary for shipping purposes.I have a clear NJ title.I encourage you to come and see the car if possible. It is being sold AS IS.I have more photos if you need them.PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT SERIOUS AND DO NOT INTEND TO BUY IT!! ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU FEEL ARE IMPORTANT BEFORE BIDDING!! THESE AUCTIONS COST TIME AND MONEY!! Thank you and good luck!
