1970 Dodge Challenger Description
1970 REAL DEAL Challenger T/A. Numbers matching engine, rear end, cowl, radiator support, trunk surround. Sublime Green, Louvers, 3.91 rear end, 727 TorqueFlite, Bucket Seats, Power Brakes, Fast Ratio Steering, Remote color coded mirrors, Radio Delete.
Although I did not need to do a rotisserie restoration on this car because the frame and cabin floor boards needed no work at all, but I did replace the trunk floor boards and trunk extensions. My process for restoring the underside: I removed the rear end, exhaust, drive shaft and gas tank and then wire wheeled EVERY SQUARE INCH of the old paint and some light surface rust from the frame and floor boards and then wiped down w/ lacquer thinner, primed and painted the entire under side w/ satin black. This took me 2 months to do it right.
Paint was done at "All Speed Customs", which is a high end restoration shop. They also replaced the carpet and head liner. The seats and door panels and dash are original. Dash has no cracks and door panels are near perfect. Seats were re-dyed to keep them original and are 9 out of 10. Dash was removed and restored. New shocks, date coded mufflers, re-chromed bumpers, engine rebuilt 10k miles before I bought it and runs very strong, new date coded radiator/coolant hoses, rebuilt brake booster, rebuilt starter and alternator, re-balanced drive shaft, new U-joints, new brake/parking brake lines, new fuel lines, new rocker panel covers, new door handles inside and out, new window cranks, leaf springs dis-assembled/powder coated and rebuilt, new bushings, new battery cables, original numbers matching radiator re-cored, new AMD trunk lid (exact match)...I have the old one if you want it but the lip is gone, rebuilt carbs, new body plug kit, new Petronix CH-181 electronic ignition (looks like original), all decals replaced, new inner splash shields, new date coded voltage regulator, new correct hose clamp set, new hood to cowl seal, new trunk gasket, new package tray, new door jamb i.d. from ECS, new trunk sliders and trunk bumpers, new shifter bezel.
This car is absolutely STUNNING!! It drives perfectly and sounds awesome. G.F. wants a vacation home so I must sell. :(
Contact me w/ any questions. I encourage a personal visit as my pics and description cannot do it justice.
