You are bidding on a piece of history, this is a 1973 Dodge Dart Sport that was born as a 340 automatic car, that is until the original owner took it took to Mr. Norm, in Grand Spalding Chicago, to have him change many things about the car, including the 1969 426 HEMI 2X4 engine, removed from a 1969 Road Runner and completely rebuilt with forged pistons and all other top quality parts. The engine alone has around 20,000 miles on it and has never been raced, only babied and trailered to most car shows. The car was built by Mr. Norm and his crew for the owner to race although the car never made it to the track, just driven to a few large car shows and trailered to other shows out of state. The car has been a trailer queen most of its life and only has 32000 actual miles. The car runs and drives very nice and is very strong. Nitrous has never been shot to the engine and trust me it sure does not need it. The transmission is a 727 Reverse pattern manual shift valve body. The rearend is a 8/ ¾ with a 323 posi which makes it street friendly and nice to drive. The car has been in many magazines and still holds on to its original looks as it was pictured back then. The HEMI logo on the quarter panels I have recently added. I purchased this car from a longtime friend who owned it for over 25 years, mostly setting in his climate controlled garage and hitting maybe a couple of car shows a year and winning many of them. This car is truly a piece of history as this is the only 1973 HEMI Dart Mr. Norm ever built. The only reason I am willing to let the car go is that I have found a piece of property I want to purchase. If not for that the car would remain in my warehouse because I would never be able to replace this vehicle or match its history and I love the attention this car gets when people see and realize what it is. If you are the proud winner of this auction feel free, with no worries to drive this car home if you so desire. Everything works on this car as it should no overheating issues or anything. Brakes, steering, and everything on the car is very tight, allfront endparts were replaced 2 months ago with all MOOG parts. Included in this sale is the following documentation, clear title in my name, actual build sheet of the vehicle, signed by Mr. Norm, magazines that the car has appeared in throughout the years, trophy?s that the car has won (all first place), front tag signed my Mr. Norm, original Mr. Norm Grand Spalding window stickers from back in the seventies much like the ones on the car now. Also included will be the build sheet on the 426 HEMI showing the actual date codes of the engine, and other specs and facts about it.
