1970 Dodge Coronet Description

FOR SALE - Rare 1970 Dodge Coronet R/T 440 Magnum 4bbl Auto "Survivor", Triple Green with N96 Ramcharger "Hemi" Hood, Build Sheet, & Clear Title. This was the top of the line performance Dodge for 1970. Only 2,615 R/T's were ever made, 1,543 of which were 440/4bbl/Auto hardtops. Super Bees are hard to find and they made 15,506 of them! This is a solid survivor car that runs and drives great. It would be a perfect candidate for a light restoration or just leave it alone and drive it like I've done. Paint and R/T stripe are original. Original vinyl top has mostly deteriorated. Original N96 code Ramcharger "Hemi" hood with functional scoops and original R/T side scoops. There are numerous dents and dings throughout the body. The rear quarters are rusted along the bottoms with some rust on either side of the rear window where the roof meets the body. Otherwise the body is solid with excellent original rocker panels and doors. Trunk is solid and original with no rust. A couple floor pans were professionally replaced about 6 years ago, floors are solid with no rust. Frame and undercarriage are excellent with no rust. The Seats were professionally reupholstered at the time the floors were repaired. They are excellent with no rips. Door panels, dashboard, carpet, and headliner are all original and in great condition (a few small holes in the headliner). Original gauges, radio, steering wheel, and console. All glass is original and in excellent shape (one very small chip in the windshield). Engine was completely rebuilt by A. K. Auto Machine of Branford, Connecticut, in 1987 with all receipts. The engine had very few miles put on after the rebuild and is essentially a fresh motor. Supposedly the block was a factory replacement which was swapped early in the car's life and the original Magnum heads and internals were retained. When the engine was rebuilt it also received a high performance solid lifter cam, three angle valve job, Edelbrock intake, and headers. The carburetor is a relatively new Holley 780cfm. The engine runs great and has plenty of power. Original 727 Torqueflite shifts strong. Power steering works excellent and the power brakes stop perfect (all new brakes just done). New gas tank. Cragar S/S wheels and Dunlop tires are basically "NOS" from 1987 when they were installed (have receipt). This car drives, stops, and handles excellent. I would feel confident driving it anywhere. Car is currently registered in Connecticut and comes with a clear Connecticut title, original build sheet, owner's manual, and numerous receipts. Original fender tag and vin tags. There are even original factory inspection marks visible in the engine bay and under the trunk lid. Original jack is also present. This is a very rare, very low production muscle car.
