I have up for auction one unique car, odge only made 900 convertibles in 1935 so how many can be left, this car has been a hotrod/streetrod since atleast the 1960, hen I got the car it had been sitting since the early 70s in a garage and had a 383 4spd crudely stuffed into it .
a friend of mine helped me outboxing the frame correctly and making new boxed X membersMotor mounts and Transmission cross member so a 440 4spd willnow safely bolt into this Chassis as if it was made from the factory this way, he rear end is an 8 3/4 out of a 68 Road Runner and was a direct bolt in to the stock springs stock front tube axle withfactory equipped 1935 drums up front..
body is very solid considering its an 80yr old car, he only patched areas are the very outer rocker panels and the tail panel below the deckli, bviously its had several paint jobs throughout its lif, ut the floors speakfor how solid this car really is as they have never beenreplaced or patche, onv top frame does fold although it willneed a new front header bow since the orig is woodand it fell apar, oors are solid with very minor blistering at very bottom outer skin ..
the pics of it with the whitewall tires and the fenders hanging on it are the most recent and what you will be getting, he pic with the old Cragars are from when I first brought it home and included simply to show you how dated of a hotrod it really was.
there is no Motor, rans, nterior, ctthis is a major projectbuta verysolid and extremely rare one at that. your probably almost guaranteed to be the only one showing up in a hot rod 35 Dodge Convertible at any car show amongst the sea of Fords and GMs ofthis era that are the norm.....
the 331 Hemi is in the pics is not included in the sale but available to whomever buys the car at extra cost I bought this rebuilt Motor with the TH400 attached after we already did the Chassis tofit the 440 4spd so if you choose the Hemi you will need to rework the trans Cross member but I am pretty sure the engine mounts will still work as we cut the stock mounts off of a 68 Roadrunner383 K Member and used those
there is a complete extra cowl included if someone chooses restore this car to orig as the one in the car has been trimmed for bell housing clearanc, nd a frame can be had from any 2dr coupe if you wanted to go that route but I think it makes a much better hotrod than a boring original ....
