1969 Dodge Daytona R/T Description
In 1969 there were 22 Hemi Daytona's built with a 4 speed gearbox. Only 11 are known to exist today.
Built to look as close to stock as possible, this one packs a 518ci stroked Chrysler Hemi producing 672 horses and 640lb/ft torque.4 speed gearbox, manual drum brakes and manual steering.
Designed to run in NASCAR, the Daytona was the first car to hit 200+ MPH on a closed course, courtesy of a gentleman named Buddy Baker.
This car, with all its power is limited to approximately 155-160 MPH. This is due to the gears in the rear axle (3:54 - 1)A change in the gear ratio would help the top speed but would reduce the fun when accelerating...
Built by Brian Brodenstein approximately 6 years ago and built to look as close to an original as possible.
The car started out as a 440ci 4 speed r/t in this colour combination
The car has a 518ci Hemi built by FHO (For Hemi's Only) in Canada and develops ;
