Eagle Description
Hello All!
I have a wonderful bit of history here! This is a 1972 Silver Eagle tour bus. This old girl was converted into a tour bus for B.J. Thomas in September of 1985 by the Vulcan Coach Corp. in Birmingham Alabama. I was able to purchase this from the previous owner of 20 years. His son was in a band....and they toured around in this.It had sat for a number of years and was used as a "cabin" at a youth camp until I rescued it! I have cleaned it up and tore out all of the old carpeting...I have laid down some carpeting and tile...but nothing permanent....I'm sure the new owner will have ideas of what they want to do with the interior.
She's powered by the Detroit 8V71 diesel. According to previous owner...this was rebuilt around 50k miles ago. Has the 4 speed transmission, which was rebuilt 5k miles ago...and a new clutch 1k miles ago.
She runs like a sewing machine and drives excellent. All of the lights seem to work as they should...minus a few of the small running lights.
Alcoa aluminum rims all the way around...and they shine up very nice! The steer tires along with the drive tires are as new...the pusher tires aren't new, but have some life left in them.
The paint has seen better days, but still looks pretty cool.
On the interior...it is a mix of original B.J. Thomas era...along with some updating since then. The kitchen has been nicely updated at some point to include a Ariston Pro Ti water heater...Whirlpool gas stove top...and nice stainless sink...with plenty of storage. Couch folds into a bed....has booth seats...needs a table. Bathrooom has a sink and toilet...plenty of room next to bathroom to install a shower. The bus has a nice Coleman Evcon heating and air conditioning unit. 6 bunks still remain....with a large rear bedroom in need of a bed.
This bus has all of the holding tanks....fresh water...grey water...and black water. Very long chord to hook up to 30 or 50 amp power.
This beauty is going to make someone very happy....needs some tlc and some tinkering here and there....but a very nice start to your dream bus!
New owner can fly in and drive this home....has 150 gallon fuel tank that is nearly full....enough fuel to get you half way to Florida!
Bid to win as this is a no reserve auction! New owner is responsible for shipping of picking her up...will work with you on this...but needs to be picked up sooner than later.
On Sep-24-19 at 19:09:58 PDT, seller added the following information:I forgot to mention the Kubota generator....which is tied into the diesel tank for hours of electricity should you need it! I will revise listing as I remember things I am surely forgetting. Bus is located in Spokane WA.
