1958 Edsel Pacer 2dr HT
1958 Edsel Description
This was a very nice car until a tree fell on it last month. I bought it 3 years ago, sat inside since 1972, got it running, the transmission shifted, mechanical tachometer worked, but the freeze plugs were rusted out on the engine. I had the block cleaned and cooked, new oil plugs, freeze plugs, crank ground .20.20 new rods, mains, cam bearings, rings, lifters, push rods with 406 adjustable rockers, new fuel pump. The engine has not been started since this work so the car is not running. The rockers will need to be adjusted after engine is started. It has new wheel cylinders, shoes, break lines, wheel seals and rear axle bearings. There is a kit for the treadle vac, but not installed, so the car has no working brakes at his time. Also has new gas tank, not installed. I did all this, then filed for divorce from my wife and pushed the car outside for 18 months. A tree fell on it during a thunderstorm in July, I took it as a sign to cut my losses and move on. This car is very solid, if you have a rusty one with a roof, or a 57 Ford, this is the car for you. The only floor rust I found was the drivers side rear from a old damp rotten boxes laying on it. The trunk is solid, as with under the head lights, and rockers. One small spot of rust on passenger wheel well as seen in pictures. The pass front fender was dented and repaired with bondo and painted years ago, but is still a great fender. The driver door does not open after the damage, has a small bow below the window. Car has keys and clear ND title in my name. Also has 4 nearly new WWW, but missing wheel covers. I described it to the best of my knowledge, It will be sold as is with no reserve. Car or title does not leave until your cash is in my hand or your check clears my bank. I can help load. Car must be picked up with in 30 days after end of auction, buyer pays and arranges shipping. If you have questions, please contact me.
