1958 Edsel Corsair Description

This car was a really cool farm find that had been sitting up for several years, the Edsel was produced from 1958-1960 and was considered to be a car way ahead of its time! This one is powered by the original 410 cu in 6.7L V8, it has an automatic transmission with a very unique push button shifting in the center of the steering wheel. At the moment, the car can be shifted in the floor with linkage near the center of floor board. The car had sat some time but engine was rather easy to fire up and run. Engine cranks with key, and is currently running off a temporary gas tank. Original tank is there, but unsure of how dirty it might be. The car will move under its own power and can be lot driven or you could possibly drive it on your trailer. There are no brakes working on the car currently other than the emergency brake. As stated before, the car has sat for a while so the carb could use a cleanup/rebuild, and all the other lil things on the car should be checked out as well. This car is not currently anything you would try an daily drive. The engine seems to run good, no internal noises, transmission shifts good. The body is pretty straight with a little rust down low, mainly on passenger rocker as seen in pics. The floors have a lil rust here an there, but no major holes or rot. This is a hardtop car which makes for an awesome look with the windows down! The unique design of the front grill also gets a lot of attention! This would be a great project car for someone looking to get into something that you just don’t see everyday. No title, will be sold with bill of sale. Interior is rough, but complete. There are some extra trim pieces that go with the car in the trunk, the hubcaps aren’t included with the car. Buyer responsible for pickup or shipping, $250 deposit due within 24 hours of auction end, remaining payment due within 3 days of auction end. This car is forsale locally and would consider ending the auction early for the right amount. Any questions please call or text 903-219-7412 before bidding. No reserve auction, high bidder wins! Thanks and happy bidding!!!
