1980 Replica/Kit Makes Factory Five Racing GTM Description

Up for sale GTM #35 purchased in 2008 (Kit was manufactured in 2006). It comes with many upgrades and extra stuff. The body still needs work to complete. The window channels have been started and the previous owner modified the rear qtr scoops, which will need work. The louvered front and back are pretty cool and they went with Ford GT "like" side marker lights.
Parts included with the purchase:
Interior upgrades:
Custom GTM gauges ($1500)
Brandwood cable shifter ($800)
Sound deadening material throughout interior
Vintage Air AC system ($1350)
Also comes with:Roof scoop - Not installedQuarter window scoops - Not installedCarbon Fiber front splitter - not installed (no longer made for Gen 1s)Extra roll of vinyl to match interior
Corvette Donor parts:
Non donor kit - all new GM parts were used ($11,000 value today)
Stock Corvette wheels and tires (used)
Things you will still need:
Donor (LS based) engine and transaxle (Porsche G50)
Exhaust - you could go with the upgraded Kooks or get the stock setup from Factory Five or another builder.
Factory Corvette rotors and calipers ($300)
Painless wiring system - again lots of folks upgraded, so you could find one on the forum. ($300)
Windshield - Car has no windshield, the original windshield was damaged and a new one can be purchased from Factory Five.
Most of the hard work has been done, but the car is still in a state where you can make changes to your taste. The most work still needed is just finishing the body. Most of the aluminum panels were powder coated and most of the panels have already been riveted to the frame. This build did not use a donor, so it has all new parts.
I went top of the line on everything I ordered and was expecting this to be a crazy build and fun car, but regret not having the time to finish it.
Work that has been completed:
Brake and clutch lines installed.
Rolling chassis - all suspension and steering mounted
Door frames partially started, inner braces installed and power window motors installed
Radiator and cooling system installed - car had full drive train installed when I purchased it
AC system installed
Many panels already riveted and covered in Dynamat
All panels drilled for riveting
That being said, the body still needs work - There is orange tape on the back hatch that got old and wont peel off, but will sand off easily. Additional fiberglass repairs also needed, but nothing major.
The interior pieces need may have a few nicks and some small scratches. One low beam headlight is also missing. There may be additional small parts needed. I wasn't able to inventory everything, but the majority of the parts included with the kit are included as well as duplicate parts for some pieces.
The car has some wiring, but I removed the iSquared system years ago for an InfinityBox setup, that was never installed. You will need to purchase a Painless or other wiring system. I sold the InfinityBox system
This is a good deal for a budget build for someone with talent and time to finish. I have receipts for all parts (the new GM parts alone cost $9000 back when the build was started).
Considering this is a 1st Gen GTM and the new kits are $25K and the additional parts installed are valued today at almost $15k, I'm hoping to sell this for a reasonable price. I will also include the build manual and any additional parts that came with the car.
This is your chance to own a mid engine Supercar capable of competing with Porsche, Lambo and Ferrari for a fraction of the price. Less than 300 of these have been sold and less than half of those are actually running and on the street.

Car has no title and is unregistered, as such, this kit is sold as-is. Ebay would not let me list "No Title" in the details above, so I have selected "rebuilt", but the car does not come with a title. The Certificate of Origin will be included from the original buyer along with a bill of sale. Please check with your state on registration details.
You are responsible for shipping! Car is rolling and has steering, can be shipped on flatbed trailer.
Serious bidders only please! This is a kit car and not a Ferrari, as such it still need some fit and finish work. Please visit the GTM forums to understand what you are getting into with this type of build. You should have kit car or fabricator experience to build a GTM. This could be a brutal fast, low budget car or you could put more money into the build and have a custom, refined Supercar. In any case, the final product is a result of your commitment to the build and the options you invest in.
