Up for auction is one extremely nice 1986 Flying Mirror Testarossa. Rosso Corsa over Tan
Well documented, low miles and very original!
First of all I would like to apologize about the lack of “professional” pictures. This car was not intended to be sold. A full service with everything imaginable was completed in November 2016. But alas, life happens.
This car is a top 5% car that has been well loved and well documented since new. Documentation is extensive and goes back to 1987 and has always been performed by professionals. There are basically two types of Testarossa’s…. well loved examples with full history and project cars that will eat your lunch. Over $28k was spent on the last engine out. This was not a quick and dirty "belt service" to flip it was a top to bottom assessment where the technical service bulletins were also dealt with. I have the service invoice if you'd and can email directly.

Cosmetically the car is in excellent shape. No hit or accident damage whatsoever. The original leather seats show very well, door panels, steering wheel and leather dash is in nice shape shape. All accessories work and the AC blows cold. The lower rockers were painted to look like a 512TR. The lower rear valance has also been painted. As far as I know the rest of the car is original paint. I didn’t detail the car before sending it up for service as there was not an intention on selling at the time.
Vehicle history: Original California car from Walnut Creek Ferrari (San Francisco Bay area) and serviced by Walnut Creek until purchased by a serious car collector here in Tulsa OK in the late 90’s. He kept the car until his friend Bruce bought the car in 2006. At that time an engine out was performed by Boardwalk Ferrari in Plano TX. Bruce was an avid car collector and an NCRS top flight judge for Corvettes so he knows how to take care of and exercise vehicles. Bruce painted the lower rockers red because he liked look. I personally did too and purchased the car in early 2015 from Bruce. The car was not on the market for sale but Bruce’s reputation and the car’s documentation spoke volumes. So, since the late 90’s the car has been traded amongst friends here in Tulsa. I enjoyed the car sparingly and took great care to start and exercise the car on a regular basis. In February 2016, Jason from Scuderia Ramparte in Erie CO (Dave Helms) picked up the car for it’s engine out service. In November of 2016 the was completed at a cost of $28k. Anything that remotely needed to be dealt with was taken care of including the gold connector kit for the fuse box. There were some grooves in the water pump housing so the water pump was rebuilt as well.
I’m serious about selling the car. At the Buy It Now price I’m already taking a serious bath. I collect cars because it’s what I enjoy. At this price it’s like buying a $90k project car and performing a service on who knows what. Why pay $75k for a low mirror with no history and high miles? It’ll never be sought out by collectors when the market comes back. Thiscar is for sale in other places and there are some interested parties but no one has officially stepped up to the plate.
The car is currently located in Erie CO at Scuderia Ramparte. I would ask that you call me first to discuss before contacting Jason or Dave. I just want to be respectful of their time. The 512TR’s and the Flying Mirror cars are in a league well above the regular low mirror TR’s from 87-91. I am keeping the FLAT12 license tag.

There is a chance i'd take partial vehicle trades but it would have to be unique and desirable.
