Here we have a brace of Three Ferrari Testarossa’s in various states of condition all for sale at one price $155,000! These vehicles have been sat in a warehouse collecting dust for some time. The owner had aspirations of completing work on the three and adding them to his collection once completed but, that day never came.
Firstly, we start with 1991 Testarossa VIN#ZFFSG17A9M0089633, finished in Nero Black with contrasting Rosso Red Leather and Nero Carpeting it really is a striking color scheme. This vehicles body is in great shape with only some paint bubbles visible to eye around some localized areas of the car, all glass is good, and the body is straight with the off blemish and paint requiring some work. The interior is in great condition for a 26-year-old car with no rips to the leather seating only some light fading, as a comment I believe a good leather nourishment/treatment would make these seats come to life again, they are good.
The wheels are in good condition but not great, a refurb would not go miss, but, they will go again with a little work. The odometer is showing 17,389 miles, considering the car has been off the road for so long we have no reason to believe this not genuine but we cannot guarantee this. The engine is missing some components. We are not Ferrari specialists but have observed the following, Water pump drive, crank drive tensioner, air pump (basically the front of the engine assembly) and we assume some other sundry items as well, this is what we can see. This car was one of only 266 examples made for the US market in 1991 so is a very low production figure with only a handful remaining today, certainly one to keep for the more astute financially minded collector this. Car comes with a clean Texas Title, a no brainer this....
The Second is a 1988 Testarossa VIN#ZFFSG17A6J0076933, this is finished in Rosso Corsa with contrasting beige leather interior and Bruciato carpeting. The odometer is showing 32,948 miles, it has also been sat for an extended period, we cannot guarantee this. This car suffered an engine bay fire at some point in its life and was then stored along with the other cars in a warehouse. The rear deck lid was damaged, we removed this and replaced with a good unit we found in California from a donor vehicle. With regard to the damage under the hood, the aluminum Bosch Metering units suffered so they will not be usable (but are available on eBay). Vacuum hoses and cable shrouding will also require attention. The engine itself is very black from smoke and will look a lot better from a steam clean. The deck lid was not the only casualty, the rear window popped, and the seats and headlining suffered from flame and smoke damage. The steering column is locked on and will not come off, the transmission is also missing. With all of this being said, this car comes with a clean Texas title and is a fantastic entry level project that will see someone on the Testarossa ladder.
The Third and final car is a 1988 Testarossa VIN#ZFFSG17A9J0076473, finished in Rosso Corsa with contrasting Beige Leather and Bruciato Carpeting. The odometer is showing a mere 13,574 miles, again we cannot verify but the car has also been un used for a considerable amount of time. Body is good, with the paint good at the front but someone has already removed paint on the rear quarters and deck lid in anticipation of re painting the car, this however is as far as they got. The windshield is in great shape as are the rear quarter glass and rear screen however the side door glass is missing. The seats are in great shape and will require some TLC to bring back to life, the carpets are very nice but would benefit from a good wet vac. The wheels on this car are the chrome finished items and are also great shape. The door strikers are missing from the car so the doors do not hold shut themselves. The front lower bumper is missing as well as some trim pieces. Please view the images carefully, what you see is what you get.
Regardless of the missing pieces the motor is 99% complete as you can see from the pictures, but will require a full assessment to see what it needs. Because these are not your everyday Honda’s, we recommend that you asses them before trying to start them, as, they have not been started in a long time. This car comes with a Rebuilt Texas Salvage Title.
The boxes in the other images contain various parts for these cars, they are also included in the sale of the cars.
In short, this is without doubt a rare opportunity indeed to acquire a Brace of Ferrari Testarossa project cars – when was the last time you have seen this, if ever?
Please take your time to read the following if you have come this far:
As rare and as desirable as three Ferrari’s are in one sale, they are incomplete, they do not need an afternoons worth of work on your mom’s driveway to take them out cruising, nor will they be recommissioned for $1000 each, in short – BE REALISTIC!
These cars require a large amount of work and parts (some which we haven’t listed as we do not have a crystal ball, they are incomplete, non-running and have many flaws, if you are still reading this ad and are interested please make contact for further Q&A I will be happy to answer the “Realistic” questions for you). I do strongly recommend you view them, but would be happy to supply more pictures of certain areas at your request. We can ship anywhere GLOBALLY, let us give you a quote for worldwide shipping to a port of your choice, we are happy to help.
That’s it, three Ferrari Testarossa’s in one sale!
