I bought this car in May 2014 locally here in Los Angeles. The previous owner was a car collector and had the car since the mid 80’s. So I can verify it’s been a local car for at least 30 years. I bought the Walnut Creek Ferrari license plate frame on eBay when I first got the car. It is a late series 1 1975 308 GT4 so it has the early car details and is exempt from smog inspection in the state of California.
The paint quality is driver level. It’s an older respray that has a few areas that could use some attention – paint has a couple cracks by the antenna, has a hazy spot on the rear corner of the roof. I was told it’s a single stage paint job so it could be touched up in those areas. There are a couple dents that a paint-less dent guy could easily remove. A good proper, professional detail will bring this car up to the next level.
The interior is overall good condition. It looks to be original. It shows some wear and could be left original or if someone wants it perfect, they can redo it. The driver door panel has a split where the speaker hole is. I think the previous owner kicked the panel with his foot while getting out of the car. I did it myself once and realized that’s probably how it happened. Carpet is okay with typical wear on the driver side.
The car comes with no tools, just the owner’s manual.
I’ve gotten a lot of the kinks out of it and have been slowly sorting it over the last couple years. I don’t have as much free time to work on and drive the car as I used to so I feel it’s time to pass it on to someone else.
Below are items I’ve done since purchasing the car:
· -Complete belt service; timing, alternator, etc. (2015).
· -Cam seals (2015).
· -Water pump (2015).
· -Oil change and filter every year; Valvoline VR1 20W50 Racing.
· -Transmission flush and new pan gasket (2015).
· -All fuel hoses replaced including filler hose (2015).
· -Surfaced rotors, repacked front wheel bearings, new pads (2016).
· -Clutch cable (2016).
· -Cleaned out radiator (2018).
· -New coolant hoses front and rear (2018).
· -Removed intake manifolds and cleaned insides of water calcium build up, new gaskets (2018).
· -Rebuilt carburetors (2018).
· -BFG 205/70-14 tires (2018).
What it still needs:
· -Motor mount(s)
· -Parking brake is not holding because motor seems to be up against the cable. Likely due to the motor mounts sagging.
· -Speedometer stopped working. I stopped driving it for this reason. Had the speedometer checked out and it works fine so the problem is with the speed sensor in the rear.
· -Shift linkage needs to be adjusted. 1 out of 6 times it doesn’t downshift right away from fourth to third at high speed while exiting a freeway or slowing for a light.
· -Front and rear shocks should be rebuilt or replaced. They seem soft when I got over a dip in the road.

The car is at my shop in Northridge, California. I encourage any serious bidders to come see the car in person. I have a lift so we can raise the car for inspection of the underside. It is currently registered in California with a clean title.
I’ve described the car as best as I could. The car is being sold in as is condition with no warranties expressed or implied. It is the buyers responsibility to pay for an arrange shipping of the car.
$1,000.00 non-refundable deposit is due through PayPal no later than 24 hours after close of auction. Balance can be paid through a wire transfer within 7 days after the auction ends. I can hold the car for a few days after it’s paid for in full while buyer waits for transport pickup.
Please contact me if you have any other questions about the car. Serious bidders only please.
