1983 Ferrari Mondial QV Coupe.
Although Ferrari sold more Mondial Coupes than Cabriolets, the Coupe version is not offered for sale as often as the Cabriolet version because they are more desirable by Ferrari fans. I personally think the Coupe has a much nicer roof line and looks far better than the Carbiolet, in addition it does not have all the issues of the funky operation of the Cabriolet retractable roof system, water intrusion and faded rear window.
This is an original Gray exterior car with red leather interior, the color combination is one of the most classics Italian car color combination, which Ferrari still offers in their other four seater cars like the FF. The grey color looks much better on Mondial than red due to use of excessive plastic trim pieces and bumpers by Ferrari. The black pieces blends nicely with the Gray color. The car was completely stripped down and repainted the same color as the original color about a year ago, the primary reason for repaint was due to clear coat peeling off. All the body panels and trim pieces were kept the same color as the original color the car left the Ferrari factory. The interior is all original and the leather is in very good condition. The driver seat foam was strengthen due to age and the original leather cover was reinstalled. The condition of the original leather in this car speaks to how well the car has been kept.
The car had complete engine out service on 10/26/2015 at 37,097 miles including replacement of timing belt, tensioner, seals, drive belts, new coolant, engine oil, transmission oil, spark plugs, water pump, etc. The total cost of the service was $12,520. The emission system is completely new including air injectors, lines, and pump, ND new catalytic converters. The Car easily passes the strict California emission without any issues which speaks to the condition of the engine.
New clutch, pressure plate, releasing bearing, and starter was installed on 10/1/2016 at 37,624 miles at the cost of $2,942. The clutch is upgraded kevlar material and the pressure plate is upgraded plate from 328 model.
Every power accessory works as they should including the power sunroof which is very rare on these cars to operate properly.
The car has aftermarket 7"x16" and 8"x16" wheels that look identical to the original OEM rims but without the issue of being stuck with the Michelin TRX metric tires. The tires are like brand new and have almost full tread.
The car comes with the complete tools, jack, spare bulb, books, first aid kit, and custom made car cover.
You can find cheaper Mondials but if you are looking for a car that it is in excellent condition with complete and up to date service history, you will not find another one. By the time you spend the money that I have spent on services for another Mondial, it will cost you more than my asking price. This is a perfect car for someone that enjoys driving their Ferrari on a regular basis and wants a car that is all original and in perfect condition.
Please note the car comes with original steering wheel that is in very good condition, the MOMO steering wheel on the car is not for sale, I will install the original steering wheel prior to delivery of the car to the new owner.
I drive the car on a regular basis both in heavy traffic and freeways without any issues. The current mileage on the car is 39,xxx miles, I drive the car on a regular basis and the mileage may increase during the listing period. I have a clean California title in hand with current registration for the car until September of 2019.
I have all the invoices for the work that was done to the car by a local Ferrari shop.
