1962 Ferrari Other Datsun 280z Description

Up for auction of my 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO tribute built on a 1976 Datsun 280z chassis. It is such a special car, I hate to sell it but the time has come as I am moving to a location where it cannot be garaged and taken car of as it is now. It is truly a fun experience to even sit in the car let alone go for a drive! Every moment in the car is such an involving experience, especially with the recently added options like the authentic Ferrari 328 gated shifter, leather hood straps, custom exhaust to resemble the Ferrari SNAP exhaust on the genuine 250 GTOs.
With 29,850 miles on the fully functional odometer, this car still has a long life ahead and it shows with how excellently it runs and drives. Everywhere the car goes people love seeing it. It such a fun car to drive, every driving experience is filled with thumbs up. The Ferrari club guys really enjoy seeing the car as well. Here's a list of the highlights:
California Clear Title in hand - Registered in my name as a 1976 Datsun (low reg costs)Passed Smog test and have valid smog cert in handAuthentic "Historical Vehicle" Plates THAT MATCH THE TITLE!
Runs and drives beautifully - needs nothingEngine runs great with:-new spark plugs and wires-new gauge senders (all gauges work except the middle analog clock)-fresh oil change 250 miles ago (Datsun recommended oil with Liquimoly Ceratec added at time of oil change for extra protection)-new valve cover gasket and bolts-new air filter-new Datsun/Nissan OE air intake hoses-new fan and AC belts-new exhaust system with custom tail pipes to match Ferrari SNAP pipes PERFECT exhaust note, surprisingly close to how the Colombo engines sound!-new brake pads and stainless steel brake lines-tires from 2014, each has still has at least 7/32 (~70%) tread life left-diamond carpet liner installed to give authentic look and feel-Authentic Dayton wheels (installed with torque wench and anti-seize paste from Ferrari factory for accurate torque spec).-4 speed transmission shifts very smoothly.-Authentic Gated Ferrari 328 shifter-Authentic wood hardy style steering wheel with low sound air horn-The paint isn’t ideal. It still in good shape overall-The seats are currently fixed. I am 6 foot and can reach the petals and steering wheel with ease. There is plenty of space so a taller person will have no problems but some might want to install seat rails to adjust the seat forward/backward.-There's a small oil leak that just started about 2 weeks ago from the oil pan gasket. I have purchased a new gasket to install so there will be no leaks.
FUNCTIONAL Air Conditioning and heat!!
The car is virtuallyrust free. The previous owner (and I) took great care of the chassis to ensure no rust formed (garage kept in California since the 1980's).
VALID CALIFORNIA SMOG certificate in hand! Ready for a California owner to register to ease.
Authentic California “Historical vehicle” license plates that MATCH registration and title (ultra rare).
I own the car free and clear, tire in my name and in hand. Ready for a smooth transaction. Cash is preferredbut a check is fine as long as it clears my bank before Title is signed. I''m happy to meet the buyer in person or can ship it to any of the lower 48 states at buyer expense as long as buyer sets up shipping arrangements.
Thanks for looking and have a good day.
