1987 Ferrari F40 Replica Description

This is a very accurate replica of the 1987 Ferrari F40. I was told by the previous owner that he purchased it from a Doctor in Wisconsin. He indicated that the car was done by a replica builder in Ontario Canada, Super Seven Sportcars Co., George Fejer. Apparently, his replicas were so real that representatives from Ferrari issued a cease and desist order and had the molds destroyed, but I do not know this as a fact. In any event, it is a very nice replication of the real 1987 Ferrari F40. It is on a 1987 Pontiac Fiero chassis with the Fiero 6 cylinder engine, and manual 5 speed transmission. The paint and interior are in excellent condition. Everything on the car works as it should, including the radio, power windows, lights, and A/C. I had it checked out by my auto mechanic and he reported mechanically, it is in good condition. It passed Colorado emissions. I have 40+ pictures which provide an accurate depiction of the car. However, eBay only allows 24, so message me with your email address, and I will provide the additional pictures. The tires are Goodyear Eagle GT: front 215/60R15, rear 235/60R15, with plenty of tread. The seats are BOMZ RACING with Ferrari logo, and the steering wheel is a MOMO CORSE. I did have the “F40” on the wing hand painted Ferrari GIALLO FLY YELLOW. Just a personal preference on my part, and certainly it can be removed at the discretion of the new owner. The mileage on the odometer is 133K, but I have no idea of miles put on the car as a replica. Every time I take it out, I receive thumbs up, and a great deal of attention. When getting fuel, people come up to me to ask and talk about the car. To the best of my knowledge, the car needs nothing. Oh, if you are over 6’-2”tall, this may not be a car for you. I am just over 6’ tall, and it is a tight “fit”, getting into the car. REASON FOR SELLING: The car has been kept in my airplane hangar. I recently purchased a new, larger airplane, and now do not have room for the car. My wife is upset that I have displaced one of her cars from our garage, so I am reluctantly selling the car. Must keep Momma happy! I reserve the right to end the auction early, as I may be able to find another hangar or suitable storage place for the car, and just keep it. Vehicle transport is the responsibility of the buyer. A deposit of $500 is due within 2 days of close of the auction, and payment in full via wire transfer, cash or certified funds is due within 7 days of close of the auction.
