1981 Fiat X1/9 Berton No reserve!
1981 Fiat X-1/9 in good, used condition. I got this car of a friend who moved out of state for new job. As far as I know, it has always been a California car. He spend lots of time and money trying to restored it and I think it only need is new paint job that he already prep primer paint for new owner either go with original color or new color. It has no rust and is basically stock. All electrics works ( signals, wiper, horn, lights), and I drive it a couple times a week on local trips, tested on high way took up to 80mile per hr and it runs smooth.. During my ownership I have recently got it smog and it pass flying color couple week ago and smog certificate still good till Jan 04 2017. This Fiat x1/9 has engine rebuilt couple year ago as you can see the engine block and oil pan has painted. all headlight switch (works just fine); cooling system service (doesn't run hot, I don't know when the last service took place); heater valve (current valve is working and getting hot air flow while you drive but the fan seem to be not working might be just fuse.
All brakes are new and 2 front tires are new and all strut replace with KYB-GR2. This car has very good accelerations and fast for small car. This is a fuel injection car not carburetor so is very reliable and good on gas.
This X runs, shifts, and stops just fine. It would greatly benefit from some fettling and more attention than I am able to provide, however. The car is located in San Jose, CA and I highly encourage pre-purchase inspections and drives, if at all possible. This X is being sold where is, as is. For California buyers, I already smog the car prior to sale and good till Jan 04,2017. The fiat x1/9 registration is just paid and good till 2017.
This auction is No Reserve. The opening bid is very reasonable for an X in this condition, but I suppose the market will be the judge of that. I will work with the buyer regarding holding onto the car while shipping is being arranged (or pick up). I like non-refundable $200 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction close via PayPal. For final purchase, I will accept cash or a cashier's check.
In the meantime, if there are any questions whatsoever, please contact me via ebay, and I will do my best to answer them as quickly as possible. Thanks very much, and good luck!
