1957 Fiat 600 Multipla
1957 Fiat Multipla 600 600 Multipla Description
This car was restored at Total Fabrications by Christopher Stowell, owner/ operator. I found this car in a warehouse amongst 25 antique American cars. Most of the parts were with it. The car was basically all original parts. I could not decide which 2 tone color scheme to paint it so I made ita Milano taxi. I fabricated the roof rack, the taxi sign and taxi meter, which can all be removed easily. Everything works. It runs, shifts and drives perfect. If the tail lights look different from the original, it is because in 1957 the electrical supplier for Fiat was shut down due to a strike and Fiat went to Lucas for lighting. This is a well documented fact. At he time of the restoration the front windshield was hard to find and expensive. Therefore I fabricated one out of Lexan . Now they have become available and more reasonably priced. I am willing to replace with actual windshield at purchasers request. Any questions are welcome. This car draws a big crowd at every show and puts a big smile on everyone's face. I did spruce up the interior a bit using the crocodile upholstery. There have been countless hours spent on this restoration and a lot of attention to detail. All payments should be direct to PayPa, or Bank to Bank transfer of funds. Car can be picked up locally or you are responsible for any shipping arrangements.
