We are offering for sale today a clean 1978 Fiat Spider Convertible. It starts and runs 100%. You need to pull the choke out when it first starts so it doesn't bog when you give it gas. Then after it runs for 3 minutes you push it in and it runs 100%. That's the way these cars were built to be. The lights, turn signals, wipers and radio all work correctly. The tires, brakes and exhaust are all in good shape. It steers straight down the road. The floors and the frame are all solid, as can be seen in the pictures. We see no leaks coming from this vehicle. The car is just a lot of fun to get in and drive.
The trunk is solid, including a boot and a tahoe cover and many manuals, plus 2 factory tool kits. It also includes a car cover for winter storage. When we bought the car, the motor looked exactly as it does in the pictures and we haven't touched it. There is some fading on the air filter, which is to be expected on a 40-year-old car. The body is in very nice shape. There is a little bit of rust on the rockers, but not enough to be noticeable in the pictures.
The interior is in great shape. There are a couple seems peeling apart on the driver's seat. The convertible top seems to be working 100%. In the pictures, we just brought the top up and didn't click it, but it clicks in easily. The top can be controlled by one person with no problem. All windows work correctly.
The title is clean and the miles are not actual because Ohio doesn't guarantee cars to be actual after 10 years old, even though some cars do read actual miles, but not this one. When you go from one owner to another owner, one little mistake can cause the miles to read as non-actual, and you can only check the miles back to 1981. Before that, there was no way to verify miles. But by looking at and driving the car, the miles that are on it are likely correct. If you can stop by, check this car out and drive it, feel to do so. We think it's in great shape for being 40 years old. And being that it has all the hubcaps and trim rings, everything is there and everything looks good, it'll definitely be a nice cruiser for warm summer days.GOOD LUCK TO ALL BIDDERS!
