THIS IS THE NICEST 124 FIAT THAT I HAVE SEEN IN MY 40 YEARS OF COLLECTING

This car is far and away one of the nicest Original (one repaint) Fiat 124’s in existence. Most of these cars made it only to the junk heap, but this car was lovingly cared for all of its life. I purchased this car from the second owner, who had the car for many years! It spent most of its life in a climate controlled garage and was kept in impeccable mechanical and cosmetic condition. It is believed to have been owned by Tom Arnold, the actor. There is a brass plaque with his name on the dashboard.

I can make you a promise: you’ll never pass another 1979 Fiat 124 on the road that is in better condition than this Fiat. I’ve enjoyed this Fiat and have driven it sparingly but enough to know how well it drives.

This car is a stunning specimen. It is one the prettiest 37 year old cars that you will ever see. The paint on the car is a beautiful dark, dark blue color. The interior is an incredible shade of baby blue. This color combination causes oohs and ahs everywhere it goes. The paint on the car shines beautifully, and the body is SO FLAWLESS that it is hard to believe that it is a 37 year old original vehicle. This car has drawn incredible attention at local shows in the time that I have owned it. It has won numerous awards at local shows.

The interior of the car is completely original. The door panels, seats, etc look like new. Even the original carpeting is in place. People are always commenting on how unusual and striking the color combination looks. The door panels are the best original door panels that I have seen on a car of this vintage. There is not a mark on any of the door panels. This car has one of the most unusual and beautiful wood dashboards ever made, and it is in excellent condition. There are no scratches, no fading, and no discoloration in the wood. The dash pad is PERFECT. It just doesn’t get any nicer in a car of this vintage. The center console is beautiful with no flaws or cracking.

The car runs superbly. The car is equipped with a twin cam 2.0 liter 4 cylinder engine. The engine is extremely quiet and purrs as it travels down the road at 60 mph. This is one of the best engines ever made by Fiat and has most of its life still in front of it. It is a very low mileage car with only 37,500 documented original miles. The car runs beautifully and has NO TROUBLE with the synchro. This is a smaller car and would not work for those of you that put people in the trunk and try to sneak the extra people into the Drive-in theatre. However, the all chrome luggage rack looks great and adds extra cargo space for the car.

Please check out all the close-up photos and look particularly down the sides of this car. Dark blue can be an unforgiving color. But this is an absolutely straight, no-rust car. It has a completely original trunk with the shiniest original floors and the nicest original trunk mat that you will ever find in a Fiat of this vintage. The engine compartment is excellent and up to show standards. This Fiat was maintained so well you can't believe that it is 37 years old. The chrome on the car shines beautifully. The overall bright work on the car is excellent. This car would score well at any local or National show. It is that nice. The car has unusual correct Fiat wheels that were imported from Italy and are not available in the U.S. The radial tires have less than 1000 miles on them. They LOOK brand new. The rims are in perfect condition.

HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE:
The Fiat 124 models were introduced into the US in October 1978 . There were 18,686 units produced. The shipping weight was 2240 pounds and it had an original selling price of $7100.00.

ABOUT THE SELLER:
In real life I am a school principal. I have been collecting cars for over 40 years and collect only original low mileage cars that have been extremely well kept by previous owners. Collecting cars is a personal passion. The thrill of finding a well-preserved 37 year old car is unbeatable. THIS IS THAT KIND OF CAR. The car belongs to me. I am not an agent acting to sell someone else’s car. The car is resting wonderfully in my garage. The above description is mine, not a third party's. If you have any questions, please contact me at 786-517-7002.
