All original, ne female owner, riven a mere 2680 miles. This Pace Car has been garage kept or stored in a warehouse since new. It was last registered in 1988 and has been in storage since. It has not run in many years. No one has attempted to start the car in many years. It is being sold as is.
Its physical condition is excellent as you can see from the pics. The original tires, park plug wires exhaust, tc. are all still present and unmolested. The seats have never been farted in. You can be the first to do so if your best bid is the winner. It is one of 5970 Turbo four cylinder manual transmission cars that year of a total 10,478 built. Not overly rare but a definite collectible first year Foxbody Mustang which we all know are the best Mustangs ever built. If you are looking for a restoration candidate this one is a definite easy shortcut. Make it run and you’re done. If you are looking for a car to do a V8 conversion this has a manual transmission so the pedal assembly and floorpan are correct. It also doesn’t run so you don’t have to feel so bad about molesting an original. Consider the time and parts it would take to restore a used high mileage and potentially rusty Pace car to this level (which really is not possible) and you are deep into five digit figures.
The interior is near perfect. Same with the paint, ody and undercarriage. The one pic of the left front fender with a touch of surface rust from thin paint is all we could find on the car. The usual things should be assumed about an old car that has been stored for years. The tires are flat spotted, he gas is old and will not run the car. It will take at least these items to get it on the road.
We had only a short time to photograph the car and lighting was not optimal but you should be able to assess condition from the photos well. If you would like I can send you a link to a site with more photos than eBay will allow me to post. Please contact me with questions only if you are a serious buyer. I am selling this for a family who are using the proceeds to pay for the original owners health care. The car is located in Georgia so please allow time for accurate answers. The car is stored off premises so It may take some calls and time to get to the location. If you would like to see the car in person that can be arranged as well.
