EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN, ALL ORIGINAL, 1973 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE
This is and was a fun car to own. The paint, Medium Bright Yellow with two-stage urethane, is original. The sheet metal is straight and lines up perfectly. There are no major cracks or splits and the chrome and stainless trim has been well maintained and shines up nicely. This car has been garage kept and is completely rust free. As the second owner of this car, we are fortunate enough to have the original bill of sale along with all the original paperwork. This car has 62,800 miles and it looks likeit wasjust driven off the Dealer's Show Room Floor back in the 70's.
The vinyl interior color is Ginger which you will appreciate when the top is down and you are sitting in the sun. The factory gauges, speedometer and fuel gauge, are set deep in the dashboard which give them a sporty look in this 6-cylinder ragtop. The original radio is an AM plus an FM player has been wired in the Glove Box. A black vinyl top is in new condition and features a glass rear window as well as factory boot. The trunk is also finished along with a spare tire and cover. The front and rear floor mats are the original Mustang mats that came with the car.
A Mustang expert can look at the VIN and see that this car has an L-code 250 cubic inch inline-6. The big six was known to be thrifty, durable, torquey and cheap to insure. It starts right up and idles quietly. The engine bay is very clean with no changes to the original look. It has a C4 3-speed automatic transmission and a 9 inch rear end with 2.79 gears inside which makes it a relaxed cruiser with good torque and is ready to ride.
