1967 Ford Mustang High Country Special, 1 of 411, removed from a backyard
1967 Ford Mustang special Description
This mustang was previously owned for 16 years by a good friend. This mustang was purchased from a co-worker of his. My friends family started the now defunct Grand Auto. The familyalways kept rare cars and fast offshore boats. The car was cared for. At some point the vehiclereceived a dark blue metallic over the original special order color. If you are not familiar with the High Country Special mustang please check it out. Apparently this vehicle had dealer installed Air at one point thatwas a removed. The vehicle also came with a console that was removed. 1 HCS badge is missing. The mustang now has a 4 speed transmission that replaced the 3 speed. The vehicle was damaged in 1996 in a light rear end crash. At this point the owner decided to add a GT type valance with cut outs for dual exhaust. My friend had an expensive exhaust system added in 2008. The car sounds great. It runs and drives fine but a mechanical refresh of anything you find will be a step in the right direction. The non-power steeringisn't for the weak. It is listed in the HCS registry. The vehicle can be enjoyed as is or restored to a high level. There is a fork in the road, which direction will you go? This is a rare mustang and should continue to receive the care it deserves, harris and rus.
