FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION we have for sale a good looking 1955 Ford Thunderbird replica. This is not a kit car, it was built in a factory. It runs and dirves very good, the air conditioning blows cold, the wide white wall tires are good and things work. If you are not a Thunderbird expert its hard to tell it a replica by looking.
HOW MANY MILES ON THE CAR? It is reading 19,and I was told this is the correct miles, but we have no way to varify it.
HISTORY: Shay Motor Company built Model A Fords that were approved by Ford and sold in Ford dealerships. They added a reproduction of a 1955 Thunderbird that was built in the Shay factory. Shay sold out to Camelot Motors. Lots of info about this on the internet.
HOW IS THE CAR TITLED? As a Thunderbird built in 1985. I do have a clear title in hand.
What parts were used to build the car? A new 4 cyclinder Pinto engine and all new mechanical was used.
HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK!
BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK!
SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GAS GAUGE WORKS!
AIR CONDITIONING is cold and works very good!
ENGINE RUNS GOOD, I hear no knocks or rattles.
HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a automatic and it shifts good.
HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? To me it drive real good, it is rack and pinion steering.
HOW DOES THE CAR STOP? It stops good, it is power brakes.
HOW IS THE BODY? Very thick fiber glass, I see no cracks.
HOW IS THE PAINT? Good paint on a straight body. A couple of touched up chips. It shines good, but has never been buffed to make it slicker.
HOW IS THE INTERIOR? It looks very good, no holes, no cracks in the dash, good carpet and headliner.
HOW IS THE CHROME? Good chrome!
HOW ARE THE TIRES? Nice wide white wall tires.
