This is a top quality nut and bolt frame off restoration that was completed a few days ago. This truck was built by myself, a restoration shop owner to keep forever. I took the best parts of the 73-9 Ford to make what I believe to be one of if not the best SWB 4x4 out there. MECHANICAL
Built 400HP late 60’s T-Bird Big Block 390, electronic ignition, Edelbrock carburetor, polished intake, water pump, stainless headers to dual 40 series Flowmaster exhaust. Aluminum radiator, complete A/C system converted to R134A. Built C6 automatic with mild shift kit, NP205 gear driven transfer case. Custom drive lines to High Pinion Dana 44 front axle with drilled/slotted disc rotors, chromoly axle shafts. Rear axle is Ford 9 in with chromoly axles and a locker. 3.73 geared. Changed to conventional power steering over ram-assist. 6 in lift kit.
BODY
All the sheet metal original to truck, not one spot of rot in any of it prior to restoration. Taken to bare metal and restored correctly. High end base/clear paint in metallic gray. It’s a 2015 color with code taped in glove box. Bed Linexed matching gray. 35/12.50/15 tires on aluminum wheels. All reproduction parts from LMC truck when I could not find NOS parts. Complete new interior with insulation. Retrosound deck and Alpine speakers. Lenses are painted candy black with clear, bulbs and lights are LED. I did not source used parts, I bought everything NOS or reproduction.
This is a brand new restored show truck, it is a factory SWB 4x4. I don’t think anything could be done to this clean truck to make it any better. I’m a licensed vintage car appraiser, I work all the major auctions, never seen a 70’s Ford 4x4 at any auction ever built to this level. I have a pile more money into this truck than my asking price of 49K. Will sell to the 1st customer that agrees on price, so auction may end early. If you want the best, don’t want to wait 1-2 years to have someone build you this truck in the 75k range, it may be for you. I will give this truck a few more shakedown miles and full inspection bumper to bumper before delivery.
I have a clean/clear WA state title in hand for this truck in my name. I accept bank to bank wire transfer only to my US Bank business account. Title and truck leave my possession only after cleared payment in full.
