1992 Ford Mustang Convertible LX Description

1992 FORD MUSTANG LX CONVERTIBLE
Relisting- Previous listing had nearly 700 views and 31 watchers. Lowered initial bid but added a reserve to get things going.
I purchased this Mustang off eBay in the spring of 2012. I purchased it from a collector in Alabamaand had it shipped enclosed carrier to my home in Michigan, metro Detroit area, 15 minutes from Detroit Metro Airport. I purchased thevehicle with about 27,500 miles and as of this listing the odometer reads about 32,900. I have been working a lot the last two years so I have put less than 1,000 miles last 2 years. Ihave done some work done to this Mustang since I received it and below is a list of what I can remember. When I got the car the tires were basically new but since it wasn't used the sidewalls has somecracking so I replaced them with Goodyears of the same size as original.
Motor is stock 5.0L. I have done nothing to the motor except plugs and wires. Didn't need any work runs like new.Automatic transmission is original and I had fluid flushed in summer of 2012. Maybe 4k mileson flush. All fluids flushed at this time. Brakes had full flush and refill this summer. Original radiator had a small leak at bottom hose connector so instead offixing the original I had a new aluminum one made and hand welded.Rear gear had a whine so had the gears replaced with Ford Motorsport 3.55 instead of the stock3.27 gear.Exhaust had a leak so I had it replaced with a Magnaflow cat-back system, sounds great.
The rubber suspension bushings were shot from sitting in Alabama heat so I had them replaced withurethane bushing kit. Since I was having all this replaced I had the springs changed to HD Moogand all shocks changed to Bilstien's. You can see them in video link below. The rear window power motors crapped out in 2014 so I ordered two OEM re-manufactured sonow they both work as they should. The tilt power function on the driver seat runs but doesn't tilt. I couldn't find the kit to fix so I had a couperecline lever setup installed so the seat back can recline back like the coupe instead of the little movement of the convertible. Powerfunction that moves seat forward and back works fine.Just had it back into dealer because AC stopped getting cold. Had the system charged up and dyetested. Still holding strong, no visable leaks.
Alternator wasn't charging to snuff so had the dealreplace that also. It has a hitch on it and a bike rack carrier.Paint shows great but to REALLY shine I would clay bar it being a 24 year old car.The top has a couple small holes/tears as shown in pics and video. I was told by a co-worker thatthese can be patched so the whole top doesn't need to be changed yet. IT DOES NOT LEAK. Ihave been caught in the rain with it and at the do-it-yourselfwash there were no leaks in the roof.It could use the door opening weatherstripping replaced which I have but again, no time to install.
Have a cover for the car. Not that great but does the job. Has the boot for the top when down ina cover in the truck. I installed in when I got the car and then put it away and never used it.I ALWAYS parked it with TOP UP AND LATCHED.Original AM/FM cassette
Because of the suspension changes the car rides firm and handles really well even on the stocksized tires. If I had to I would have no fear in driving this car across country. Of course there is no guarantee, anything can happen but with the low miles there shouldbe no issues. It has never left me stranded on any of my rides. Have taken it on 300 mile trips upnorth, top down and on freeway sun beating down radio blasting. FUN FUN FUN.
Miles might change by a hundred or so. Car is for sale locally and may be test driven.
Marti report says only 1 in 416 in this trim.LOW LOW LOW MILESClear title in hand ready to sign over.

FORGOT TO MENTION:When I had it in for the AC fix and new alternator the fixed a small oil pan leak and adjusted both doors for me. Not that big a deal just wanted to mention, NO LEAKS and doors fit and shut nice.
