1930 Ford Model A Fordor (4-Door) Restored Original All Steel Body
1930 Ford Model A Description
This is a nice, original restoration of a 1930 Model A 4-Door (aka Fordor) sedan. The restoration was completed in the late '90's. The car was enjoyed for a few years before being sold to a former President of the Dallas Model A Chapter, which is from whom I purchased it in 2006.
Drives very nicely, with all the creaks, rattles and leaks expected of any 86-yr-old car. The transmission shifts smoothly. Brakes are original mechanical drums and are well adjusted, with no pulling to one side as is the case with many Model A's. Great car for parades or running errands. I have never taken a long road trip in the car, but it would be a fun car for the annual Great Race or similar touring cruise.
The body is all steel and solid. Paint has held up very well for being almost 20 years old and the chrome shines nicely. Black paint is not forgiving of flaws, and although there are some imperfections, there are no major defects that detract from the overall appearance of the car.
The interior is exceptionally nice. No smells, tears or stains in the seats. Non-smoking environment. As shown in the pictures, the driver-side door panel was damaged by a faulty Battery Tender cable that shorted and got hot in 2013. With the door closed the damage is completely hidden from view and I have successfully shown the car as-is without complaints.
The car is also listed locally and I will end the auction as allowed per eBay terms & conditions if the car sells locally prior to the close of this listing. If you would like to view the car prior to bidding, please message me to make arrangements.
Delivery assistance can be arranged if required.
