1971 Ford F-250 Highboy 4 x 4 Description

I have for sale a nice 1971 Ford F250 Highboy truck. This is a truck I was saving to build for myself but a move is causing me to sell it. When I purchased the Highboy it ran and drove well. I ended up replacing all the metal on it. After parting out over 30 trucks I kept all the best parts for this truck. The cab was sand blasted and primed and is rust free. The floor were replaced but done well by a professional. The doors are rust free too but the passenger door had 2 small fixes welded in the door's lower corners.(see pics) The box is in great shape too but has some dents in the boxes floor and a wheel well. The front clip is all built from rust free parts. There is a small patch needed on the drivers side lower front fender. ( I will weld it in this week ) This a good solid and straight truck and the frame is a California frame so it has No rust pitting at all.
The engine is a 390 that was overhauled and runs like dream and has less than 5K on it. It is currently set up with a 4 barrel intake and carb. The engine does need a rear seal replaced as it leaked from sitting. The C6 auto transmission was also rebuilt with only 1000 miles on it. I saved some new shocks and brand heavy duty new leaf springs from another truck I acquired and those parts will be a part of this sale too. The truck is also sitting on rare factory ford one ton axles. These axles are very hard to come by and sell for $1000 each if you can find them at all. I'll get the numbers on them and upload it soon. The column is not correct year for the truck but I think I have a stock one for it on hand here, if so that will go with the sale. I have a 71 grille for it too but I need to pull it from a truck yet. The 1970 is just for the pics unless you would rather have it instead. The truck's build date is 9/1970 but it is titled as a 1971. This rig is an awesome platform to start your highboy dream build with. I will also include all the glass needed for the truck including an option of a slider rear window. I will include a good headliner with trim, a working heater, and nice door panels of your choice.. Also a working complete AM radio and a near mint original factory floor mat and a decent bench seat. I will add a good ash tray, door handles (inner and outer), good seatbelts, and the proper hood emblems in great shape. If you want AC, bucket seats, or a good dash pad I can sell you that too. Not included though! I saved this truck for my personal build but I'm handing off to another Ford lover to take it from here. This is a builders dream to have 1 ton axles on a rust free frame and body with a rebuilt drive train and free new shocks and brand new leaf springs. Not to mention an A+ interior with the finest of parts I have saved. And if you want to add a rare AC, buckets or a good dash pad you can. I am also selling another rare 71 Camper Special too. Thanks for checking it out and call me with any questions. Jim 507-227-6052
