1934 Ford Other Description

Up for auction is my personal ride for the last two seasons. A very nice running and driving traditionally styled, tastefully chopped 34 5-window Coupe.

The body came out of west Texas about 10 years ago. This was an off and on project til two winters ago when I decided it had taken about long enough and got after it and finished it.

The body was pretty decent, although I put SAR door skins on each door, also inner rear fender wells and a bitchin' products hot rod floor kit.

The top was chopped 2" and all paint and body was performed by "Kappy's Auto Restoration" in Owatonna, MN. The cowl vent, crank out windshield, and top insert were all retained. The hood was punched out "Old Style" louvers. The grille is a "Drakes" unit, 37 taillights, custom front nerfs, and rear spreader bar. The paint is Blitz Black with green pin striping by "Relic". The fire wall is original with a 4" set back.

The drive train consists of a completely rebuilt 67 300 HP 327 Chevy complete with double hump heads, L-79 camshaft, flat-tops, ceramic coated 2 1/2" Corvette rams horn, exhaust manifolds, pertronix ignition, new Q jet carb with electric choke that works excellent, all topped off with original 327 valve covers and a L-79 dual snorkel air cleaner. The machine shop that rebuilt the motor said it was the nicest vintage motor he had seen in years. I had it for 20 years, it was a 45,000 mile original out of a wreaked 67 Chevelle. The radiator is a Walker.

The trans is a rebuilt turbo 350 with a mild shift kit and on about 2,200 stall converter.

The rear end is a Ford 8" out of a 67 Fairlane with 3.00 gears

The frame is a one off unit built for me by Tom Jerde of T&M Metal Works in Farmington, MN. It is fully boxed with a 35-40 type cross member, custom built ladder bars, and OA1 coil overs. The front end is Vega cross steer with Posis transverse spring, Wilson Welding backing plates with Buick brake drums, the axle is Chassis Eng with 46-48 Ford Bones.

The brakes work excellent. The "Tanks" 16 gal fuel tank in mounted in the truck along with the "Ultima" battery.

I kicked up the frame rails to accommodate the trunk mounted gas tank and custom spreader bar and license plate mount.

The interior is done in "Ol Skool" black tuck and roll with green piping. The seats are Bostrom buckets like the ones in the old Mopar factory light-weights. The door locks are surplus locks originally used on P-51 Mustangs along with others. The steering wheel is out of a 39 standard with a Deluxe horn cap. The car has a engine turned insert with SW green-line gauges. The trans is operated by a swan neck floor shifter. The mirrors are original inside and the one on the outside is one from the 50's I bought at a swap meet and had re-chromed. The car is ready for tunes with a cowl mount antennae and food quality 6X9" speaker under some vintage speaker grills.

Well that's about all I can pull out of my (!!!) oh wait a minute I meant off the top of my head. The car rides on original steelies with caps and radial tires, 155-65-15 on the front and 235-8-16's on the rear.

If you have any more questions I can be reached at 507-456-2957.

I can only get 24 pictures in the ad. If you want the rest that I took send an email.

I would guess I have put about 10,000 miles on the car and it has not given me any issues.

I have a clear 1934 Ford title in my name.

Good Luck Bidding.
