1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Q Code Description

Hello,
Up for sale is my 1973 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with numbers matching 351 Cleveland. The car is beautiful, itgets a lot of looks and compliments. Hate to part with the car, but I have to buy a car to replace my current lease. I bought the car in Michigan, 4 years ago from a gentlemen who said he was a friend of the original owner. I have driven the car about a thousand miles since I bought it. The car sounds great and is running great. She made a trip earlier this year from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts with no problems, when I moved here. She passed Massachusetts safety inspection in August and is currently registered as a standard passengercar.
Since I have owned the car, I have done a lot of work to it. Here are some of the highlights:September 2016
  • New Edelbrock Performer 2665 Intake Manifold$325 + Parts, $500+ Labor
  • New Valve Cover Gaskets $150
  • New Ford Racing Air Cleaner $60
  • New Blue Mustang Floor Mats $100
  • Tire Rotation
  • Oil Change
July 2016
  • New Mr. Gasket High Performance 95 GPM Fuel Pump $100
  • New Grant Steering Wheel $100
June 2016
  • New Edelbrock 1406 Carburetor $335 + Parts $200 Labor
  • Replaced Alternator $79
June 2015
  • New AutoCraft Gold Battery $150
September 2012
  • Replaced Both Front Brake Calipers with Wearever Brake Calipers $117
  • New Front Stainless Steel Brake Corporation Short Stop slotted rotors and pads $211
The car has 15" American Racing Rims and P235/60R15 Dunlap GT Challenger tires with a lot of tread life still left on them. I think the body is very solid, a magnet will stick almost anywhere on the car. Paint is still very nice, I think it was painted about 7 or 8 years ago. There are some minor imperfections to the paint, I would say it is 95%.The valve covers are good quality Ford Motorsports. The rear is a 9" Ford. The shocks are Gas-adjust.The car was originally an A/C car, though this was removed at some point, I would recommend going with an aftermarket classic A/C system (The A/C Controls are still in place). I only have the parts that are on the car, though I believe if someone wanted to return the car to stock all the parts necessary are readily available.I think the underside of the car is excellent, there is only slight surface corrosion on a couple very small areas and on the exhaust. The underbody is actually the reason I decided to buy the car in the first place, I knew the restorationwas aquality one based on the work done there. The radio is an older Kenwood with a cassette player and the speakers are behind the driver and passenger in the rear passenger housing. It sounds Ok, I don't use it much I like to listen to the engine. I would suggest replacing it with a classic radio or one of those new fancy ones with the pull out screens.
Overall, I think this care is a really great deal, with some more elbow grease, TLC and funding this could be made into a $30,000 car. Unfortunately, I do not have the time or funds to pursue making this car all that it could be.Thank you for looking at my car, happy bidding! Here are the terms of the sale (Wish it could just be a handshake and a smile):1. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time, with or without cause.
