You are looking at a Full Custom Chopped and Channeled Custom Truck Built by Torchie Gilewicz! This 1941 Ford Pick Up has the right look from it's low stance to it's Olds 324 V8 Rocket power to its perfect stance... this car/truck reeks of style and tradition! The pickup is a newly built rod with less then zero miles since completion. This truck will make a statement anywhere it goes!!!
It has 1954 Rocket V-8 324 cubic inch out of an unfinished restoration. The Engine turns and is wired and has been fired on starter fluid but not run on gas yet. Not a runner yet but very close.
Fuel is delivered through a Edlebrock 600 cfm 4 barrel Carb on top of a Rare 4 brl. Intake that has been Pro Painted to match the rest of the motor. Chrome Air Cleaner. 12V EZ wiring harness. New Petronix pointless ignition in rebuilt distributor with new cap, spark plugs and wires. New Petronix hot coil, and Mini "One Wire" 75 amp alternator. New High torque mini starter. All new soft gaskets.
1950 Ford F-1 light duty 3 spd floor shift trans rebuilt using a NOS set of 1948 Ford side shift gears, all the seals were replaced and the Trans was converted to closed drive style with new Wilcap 324 Oldsmobile Rocket to Ford Transmission adapter. NEW 11" Ford clutch disk and throw out bearing. Rare NOS Olds 324 Rocket flywheel. Hurst motor mounts.
New high volume water pump, New 3 core ECP aluminum radiator will keep this Hot Rod Cool.
A lowered ride with custom original stock 1941 Tudor frame boxed and Por15 treated. Dropped Shackles, I beam axle with rebuilt spring, wishbones, 1941 Ford Spindles, and Rebuilt Juice Breaks with new gas shocks up front. New tie rod ends, drag link ends, bushings, and kingpins. The Rear end is a 1947 Ford Banjo with Torque tube seals replaced, Clam-shell gaskets replaced. New hard brake lines and rear shocks.
Denman bias G78 - 15" Wide White Walls all around with (2) 51 Ford caps included on Royal Blue Gennie Ford rims. This Car/Truck has many new and upgraded parts with no expense spared.
The Body is all Henry Ford steel body heavily modified straight and solid overall. Shot Grey Primer as prep for paint. It has been chopped four inches and channeled Six inches. 1951 Big Rear Window Ford F-1 Cab with a new 1"x1" floor frame and floor made of 16 gauge. All fully welded and coated with POR 15 then undercoated. The Firewall was smoothed and filled. Hand formed 18 gauge steel rocker panels and inner door-sills. The Bottom of cab has been undercoated. The Vent windows are chopped and functioning.
A set of stock 41 Ford car rust free western front fenders were modified to fit the 51 Ford cab. Inside fenders undercoated. The grills are stock 1941 Ford Car with great chrome and show very well. The hood is a combination of the Ford F-1 series truck hood with the stock 1941 Ford car hood grafted to it. All fully welded.
The Bed has new sides and rear wall and has been raised to match the belt line on the cab. Rear fenders are stock 1951 Ford F-1's have been moved forward 3" to better center the wheels in the wheel openings and narrowed 2" to match car width. The Running boards have been removed and a sill/rocker panel has been fabricated. Hand formed metal frame covers. New frame and mounts for the box have been built out of 1"x1" square tubing.The tail gate is rust free Ford original.
There is zero glass included with the car, regulators in functioning doors. The interior is bare bones but very comfortable with Padded Blue Bench seats. White 1946 Ford steering wheel and horn ring, Steel dash with all new SoCal 12V switches and original working gauges, ash tray, glove box, trim included (see pics). Lots of accessories and kustom pieces, Lokar Pedal and linkage, Blue bubble Shift Knob, 20 Gallon Aluminum tank, Matched Casco Model J perfection Spotlights, and Blue Dot Tailights.
In a nut shell this is a one of a kind classic! Not quite a Turn the key but very close! This is not a museum quality car or trailer queen, but it could be a nice driver that will steal the show at any local gathering! Poor Health forces sale of this classic...
This "Kustom" is titled and Currently Registered as a 1941 Ford with a clear title with a Visible Vin# on the frame.
