1965 Ford Mustang Base Hardtop 2-Door Description

Third-owner car, was my daily driver for two years and was extremely reliable. Can be started up and driven anywhere. T-5 conversion makes it a dream to drive, especially on the highway. Terrific candidate for a complete restoration
Details: Scheduled build date of Feb. 24, 1965 at Metuchen, putting it in the first month of Mustang production at that plant... 200ci 6-cylinder (T-code) with T-5 upgrade from a 1993 Mustang, completely rebuilt and installed with a new clutch, resurfaced flywheel, Modern Driveline conversion kit and a Qwik Stik offset shifter with Hurst handle and shifter knob... currently has seats from a 1999 Mustang, but original seats come with the car -- front/back seats and other interior components all believed to be original. . . wheels are from a 1966 Mustang, giving you 14-inch tires to ride on instead of the 13-inch that were stock on 1965 six-cylinders. . . radiator, fuel pump, battery, brake pads, coil, plugs, wires, driver side door/rear fender and more all replaced in last few years. . . about ¾ of car was repainted in 2014 (will provide details). . . modern stereo included and installed, but original radio is still there and can easily be reconnected. . . upgraded speakers in doors and rear window. . . windshield has been removed and re-sealed to prevent leaks. . . received a moderate restoration in 1985 and was only driven about 5000 miles between then and 2013. . . comes with original owners manual, factory build sheet (extremely rare) and a stack of records going back to its initial purchase. . . needs a headliner, which will come with the car and just needs to be installed.
Asking price includes set of snow tires (less than 5K miles) on a set of American Racing mag wheels, the original transmission and shifter (tranny has a chipped tooth in first gear), a spare carburetor, the 1999 Mustang seats currently in the car, and many other spare parts.
