This Ford LTD is the car that lots of families owned back in the day, not to mention Police Cars, Federal, State, County and City administrators used. The car was was originally white with a blue vinyl top when it rolled off theFord Assembly line. The interior is still original dark blue interior that is in very good condition. The engine starts 1st time every time and the C6 3 speed automatic transmission shifts as is expected. There are no major fluid leaks. This vehicle has been well maintained over the years. Along the way the color was changed to black and the vinyl top was removed. Other than the current home made paint job the body is in decent condition. You can fix some things if you the hobbybut it works fine "as is" It is safe and starts right up. You still get the original engine with 86,000 miles but with the intake manifold upgraded from the 75 lb cast iron unit to the 30 lb Aluminum 4v Edelbrock and 4v carburetor with electric choke. Mostly everything works except the radio but it may just be the wiring. I am too big to get in under the dashboard. There is a gauge panel to complement the idiot lights. The glass is all good and the dorrs open and close fine and the windows roll up and down. The car has 90% of its original gaskets. The tires are decent and the car comes with the aluminum wheels, the original steel wheels and the original hub caps as well as the original tire jack, base and tire iron. The interior is nice with new seat covers and a dash cover that covers the cracks on the dash top which is typical with these cars. Seat belts are all there and they work but could use a couple new trim pieces on the buckles. All the following items do work: wipers, horn, lights, high beams, hide-a-way headlight covers, tail lights, dash lights, signal lights and side fender lights. The trunk is real nice and large. I pulled the carpet and there is no rust thru on the floors, the frame is great, shocks work, power steering works etc. I am missing one side of the vinyl top trim in the event that you want to replace the vinyl top. Trim is good, bumpers are good with one exception. The front passenger side of the bumper wrap around is mildly pulled away (bent out) from the side. Its not too bad but is noticeable. The under side of the car is in great shape with an almost new exhaust system. The car has AC. The previous owner tinkered with the AC wiring while adding a sound system that has been removed. Making the change removed the AC 30amp fuse. A hot wire from the battery to the AC with a fuse holder and a manual switch needs to be installed on the dash to operate the compressor. I had a Mobile AC guy convert the compressor and fittings to 134a and check the hoses and the AC does blow cold. I think that's all but if I missed something I will add to the listing if Ebay allows that since it is a Auction Listing. This is an original Ford LTD with the original 1969 390 4V,4BBL engine with original C6 (3) speed automatic transmission and Ford 9" rear axle with 2.70 gears. The engine date is 9A16 = January 16, 1969. The intake and carb were upgraded along with rebuilt original heads. The block is nicely painted Ford Blue but I do not know if it was rebuilt or refreshed but in any case it only has 86,000 miles, it starts 1st time every time and runs smoothly. Example: I had a nice engine and transmission like the plant in this Beast that was removed from a 1969 LTD that I listed on Ebay and it sold for $4500 sight unseen and I never saw it run and it went freight to Oklahoma. The drive train on this LTD is at least as good. You can't loose on this car because if all else fails you can always keep the drive train and Ford 9" so you can also part out this car and actually make more than you pay to buy it. If it does not sell that is what I will do. I just thought that because it is so solid someone can really enjoy it and still pass it on later.Questions:
