1992 Ford F-250 XLT Description

This auction is for a 1992 Ford F-250 Extended Cab, Diesel Pick-up, with Long Bed, 4x4 andXLT Trim Package.
This truck is being sold as a parts vehicle. Diesel parts and 4x4 parts always have value and the parts value would significantly exceed the asking price.

This truckhas a pre-Powerstroke 7.3 IDI non-turbo diesel enginethat was running at the time it was parked, about 18 months ago. This truck was used as a donor vehicle for an automatic to 5-speed conversion, and is essentially complete, other than the transmission, transfer case, some misc. parts related to those two items, pedals, and the instrument cluster. Some other very minor parts may be missing as well. I kept this vehicle for another project, but that one never materialized and my goal isto get this truck out of storage before winter. If this truck had not been usedfor the transmission swap donor, it would likely still be on the road today.
There is no title and this vehicle will be sold on a Missouribill of sale. This truck is best for parts salvage, but could be used for a farm truck or wood hauler, monster truck starter kit orsomething of that sort if you had the transmission parts available. The mileage is unknown since the cluster is missing, but you can assume this is no low-mileage grocery getter..
The 7.3 IDI engine is essentially complete from air cleaner to oil pan and is essentially untouched. Itstill has all of the accessory items attached. The a/c components, radiator, condenser, etc. are still hooked up as well. The core support is nice with the exception of a small rust spot on the very bottom. As stated earlier, it was running and driving at the time the transmission was removed.
Both fuel tanks and skid plates are still installed as well as the internal components.
Front and rear axle assemblies are still in the truck. The rear axle is a 10.25", 4.10 ratio non-locking unit. The front axle is a Ford Dana 50. All suspension components are installed. The frame appears to be in good conditionand looks straight. Cross members looked good as well.
The interior is in pretty good condition. The front seat lay-out is two captain's seat with a center console. There are a few small puncture wounds in the driver's seat but overall the fabric is in good condition on all the seats. The inside arm rest is loose on the passenger seat. The rear seats appear to be in good condition. It does need a good interior cleaning as it is very dusty. The door panels and other interior panels are all pretty decent but they need a good cleaning as well. This has the XLT trim package so there are power windows and mirrors and other amenities over the base XL models. The passenger seat has power controls as well. I am unsure of which accessory items work and which ones don't.
All cab glass is intact. Both door glasses have vertical scratches. The windshield is cracked. Rear window appears to be an aftermarket sliding unit. The cab is weather tight with the exception of the hole in the floor for the shifter.
This truck has been repainted from the original Bimini Blue to a darker blue. The hood, driver's side door and the tail gate are the stars of the sheet metal. The tail gate is very nice and has a few dings on the top edge from hauling long cargo with the gate up. These are extremely hard to find in good, rust free, condition. The floor pans of the cab are very nice with the exception of a small area in the rear. There is some rust on the sides of the cab in the extension area and on the rear corners. The bed floor underneath appears to be rust free and the bed sides are fairly straight but there is rust over the wheel arches and on the lower bed sides. It could be used as is, although it ain't pretty. The front fenders and passenger door are probably not good donor candidates.
The body is installed on what looks to be a 3" lift kit. There is also a gooseneck hitch receiver installed.
