1969 1970 PRO STREET FORD MUSTANG 429 BBF FASTBACK NARROWED W 18.5" REAR TIRES
1970 Ford Mustang PRO STREET Description
I purchased this on EBay thinking it just needed a little TLC, but sadly for me the car needs more than I currently have time for. Upon taking delivery of the car, I looked it over very quickly, and parked it. I have a number of major projects going right now, and cannot take on another. New Hampshire does notrequire titles on vehicles older than the model year 2000, but the cardoes havea clean and clear Florida title signed by the prior owner, and the buyers section has not been filled in, so titling in your State will not be a problem. It is a 1969 / 70 mustang fastback, that has been Pro Streeted. It has a built 429 engine, and C-6 auto transmission. It has a professionally installed, narrowed 9" rear with 4 link and coil overs. It has either a locker or spool. I do not now the gear ratio. I also do not know what has been done inside the engine. The tires are all in great condition. The rears are 29" x 18.5" Mickey Thompsons. I have donenothing to the car. I haveonly driven it across my driveway, butI can tell you it will easily spin the massive rear tires. It is a 1970 fastbackthat has been converted to the 1969 body style. It appears to be totally rust free. It is extremely clean underneath. Having said that, in my opinion this car is a " project ". Please don't be misled by the pictures. They make the car look muchnicer than in person. I think the 69 / 70 fastbacks are the best looking Mustangs of the Muscle Car era. Clearly I am not alone, as they are the most highly sought after year and body style. This car is asolid start for either a drag car, show car, or just a fun weekend cruiser. Again... I want to make it clear.....In my opinion this car is not "turn key". It is a project. It runs, but runs a little rough as it has no choke andhas been sitting for a few years untouchedand needs to be gone through.I wastold that the C-6 transmission has a higher stall converter in it.When in gear it is slow to engage, so I'm not sure if that is due toa higher stall converter, or if the trans may be tired. If you are looking for a project, this is a great start on a highly sought after body style that will be worth a lot of money when finished.
