This 1972 Ford Mustang Convertible was owned by a Ford engineer executive in the mid to late 70’s and had the access to all new Ford parts and had the car done with new old stock parts including a Mach 1 dash, factory radio with built in CB Radio new Ford seat coverings, Mach wheels and the best of all the brand new BOSS 302 crate motor with the Ram Air functional hood. It has all original sheet metal including floors and trunk pans. He also upgraded the front grill and bumper to a 1973. I have recently purchased the car from an elderly lady that has owned this since 1984 and she bought the car from the Ford executive that had the car done. She stated that the car has only 35,000 actual miles and she has had the car for the last 33 plus years the car has no evidence that it’s not actual miles but will be sold exempt because of its age and no documentation. It has been stored in her heated garage under a cover most all of its life with her. It is a very nice car for anyone to enjoy without breaking the bank. Nevertheless, the Mustangs from these years now are getting some respect from car collectors, the 1971-73 Ford fastback and convertible Mustang its flashy looks makes it a popular classic car.
This car is nice inside, out, and underneath. It was repainted recently the paint is nice. The paint is White with Black interior and Black stripes, front and rear spoiler, the color combo is stunning. The car has a nice paint job on it and is straight down the sides. No rust issues with this car it was a very well cared for car its entire life and owned by the previous owner for over 33 years. Before it was painted, the car was completely rust free. All chrome and trim is all nice.
The drive train, it has a REAL BOSS 302ci engine block casting #DIZE-6015-B, intake #DIZE 9424-EA, Holly Carburetor # C90F 9510-R list 4698 5A4. The car comes with power steering, power disc brakes and a C-6 automatic transmission making it very drivable. Car has a power convertible top that works great. New Raised white letter BFG’s tires have been mounted on the very rare polished factory Mach 1 wheels and looks very nice. Exhaust is nice also and sounds nice.
Like everything else, the interior is nice with the factory console. The car has a Mach 1 Dash including factory tach, with a Ford am/fm/cassette radio in the dash with a factory CB Radio built in. The Dash pad, door panels, carpet, headliner, sun visors, over all everything is nice. This is a great opportunity to get a cool Mustang convertible with a real BOSS 302 motor how cool is that! This is the Ford BOSS Mustang Convertible that Ford should have built, but the Ford executive did.
This car is clean everywhere you look, great for local cruise-ins and a few local shows and should get a trophy or two. I would encourage anyone who wants to buy this car to come and inspect this car. Give me a call first at 517-990-2646 and I will give you an honest overview.
