1988 Ford Festiva LX Hatchback 2-Door 1.3L
1988 Ford Festiva LX Hatchback 2-Door Description
I bought this car in 1987, and drove it until about 14 years ago. It was running back then when I parked it, but does not start now.
It is the Fancy LX trim level!
I do have the Title in hand, and will sign it over to whomever purchases the car.
Most of the parts in the car are original. The radio is not original, and does not work. The carburetor was replaced at some point, and is not original. The tires on the car show very little wear, but may have some minor cracks from the car sitting. The Interior is pretty good, but needs a good cleaning.
There is some minor front end body damage, and damage to the roof where a branch fell on the car. There is also a very minor dent in the drivers side rear quarter panel from when the car was hit while parked. The lock in the passenger side door is damaged from a break-in. This car was driven for 190K miles, there are dings, etc, as you would expect.
Mechanically the car was good when I stopped driving it, the body is fair from sitting, but there is no major rust. It has been sitting, and will need to be towed away.
If you are local, message me, if you want to come by to take a look. If you are not local, and want specific pictures, then ask, and i will try to send you what you need.
Very good parts car, and as you can see there are few parts available on Ebay for these festiva.
If you bid, plan to have the car towed, do not expect you will be able to start it. If you need help moving the car, I have a pickup truck that I can tow it with for $1/mile round trip prepaid based on google maps mileage, but a minimum of $40 to make it worth my while. But my truck is a pickup truck, not a Tow truck, you would need to bring a tow dolly with you, and I would expect you to load the car on the tow dolly (yeah I am willing to help push, but you are responsible for securing it).
If you have a similar Festiva, this is a great parts car. If you want a project, once you are done fixing this up, you will have a fun little econobox. Please bid, only if you intend to purchase. Buyer must pay within 48 hours of the end of auction.
If you purchase the car, you must have it out of my driveway within 10 days of the end of the Auction. After 10 days I will call the junk yard to come and get it, and not refund your money.
I just added some pictures so you can see the conditions of the floor look good, and around the struts, etc.
Also I did have a fancy Denon cassette deck in this a long time ago, I believe that the ding on the vehicle history report is me reporting it stolen (that is also when the lock was broken in the passenger side). The history report does show a duplicate title, as I just got a new copy of the title to do this sale, I have no idea where the original copy is, but I am the original and sole owner of the car, as you can see from the vehicle history.
