1968 Ford Mustang GT/CS California Special Description

Very nicecorrect 1968 California SpecialorMustang GT/CS. Deluxe Marti report included. Built new in San JoseMarch 18,1968 and sold new in Gridley CA. shortly thereafter. This car has always been in CA.and has it's correct drivetrain.Factory A/C restored and blows cold. Everything works as it should,horn, lights,radio (am w/FM convertor hidden in glove box),wipers, coolant, alt,and gas gauges, hood blinker, etc. Fit and finish as new(many gaps even better than new) or exactly as Ford intended/installed them. It had the first and only repaint/refresh2 years agoand only light weekend driving or showingsat Cars and Coffee, the Laguna Beach Invitational and some other eventsaround CA. since,car stored insideit's whole life. Overall paint is very nice,current condition isas shown in pics. Car has never been rusty, hit, or damaged in any way that I can see an signs of. Bumpers, chrome, glass, trim etc. is also very nice. Trim rings have light wear (they are the originals) and show a ding or two, however no paint loss, dings, or chips down the straight body line or in jams the door edges, or hood. Just press the gas oncecold, hit the key,car idles up perfectly until warm and kicks down correctly to a nice lumpy idle. Upgraded power disc brakes stop very well and has an adjustable proportion valve,add the cold AC on demand, and thedriving experience is a pleasure every time. Not a rattle or squeak from her as you tool down the road, solid survivor feel and tightness throughout the car. Floor pans, and torque boxes and trunkareclean rust free. Nice sounding rumble comes from aftermarket mufflers that end thru the factory GT exhaust tips. Shehas the factory2:79 rear end andhighway cuising 70+ is a pleasure but it moves quickly in 1st and 2nd with the upgradedcan and Edelbrockintake with brand new Holley 4bbl (4V) carb. Trans shifts very crisp and was alsorebuilt(this was a factory289 2Vcar). Nice cam with a healthy little lobe at idle, and very quick spirited,but cam/engine behaves well in gear hot or cold.The only item deleted from thebuild sheet is the factory parchment vinyl top...which can be added later if you really miss it. Brand new matching Gulfstream Aqua interiorlooks fantastic, also the center cup holder is a lift out, not screwed in the carpet item but is correctly color matched.
