EBAY FEEDBACK AND SELLER HISTORY
Please review my Ebay feedback . My wife and I just sold our cherished 1966 Mustang on Ebay and the buyer is very happy with it . We also just sold my sisters Mustang . Both cars sold before the expiration of the auction . I have been in our local Mustang club for 30 years and have worked on them since 1967 so I know these cars very well.
VEHICLE HISTORY
This unusual car has been in sunny San Jose California close to where the Ford plant was until 2013 . It has never been stored near the beach or left outdoors for prolonged periods . It was built in the San Jose plant and given to a Ford executive as her daily driver while she worked there . When Ford needed to clear the car from their books she purchased it from them and kept it for many years afterwards . I am listing it on behalf of my sister in law because she is no longer able to drive and she does not have an Ebay account.
QUESTIONS
Ask questions BEFORE you buy any car . You don't want to buy one that someone claims is in good condition then have to spend thousands of dollars buying a ton of little AND big things for it.
OPTIONS
The factory options are power steering, automatic transmission, 2 speed windshield wiper with automatic washer, emergency flasher, disc brakes, factory air conditioning, ultra rare bench seat with fold down arm rest and it had a factory AM 8 Track with factory door speakers but the radio has been upgraded to an AM/FM cassette which is designed to fit properly in the original radio hole . It is a factory V8 and originally came with a 2 barrel carburetor.
PERFORMANCE
These V8 Mustangs run very well but are not extremely fast by today's standards like some people think they are, and the throttle opening can easily be regulated to slow them down which also makes them a good choice for kids too if you are considering buying yours their first car.
I have driven it quite a bit and it runs and drives very well well . There are no squeaks or rattles . There is no whine or howling from the differential . There is no hesitation when accelerating . The transmission shifts xlnt . There is no play in the steering and it does not drift or wander on the highway . It pulls strong when you floor it . The car does not pull to either side when braking . There is no whine or chatter in the power steering . There is no smoke when first starting it or upon hard acceleration and there is never any lifter noise and it never runs hot.
AIR CONDITIONING
It is factory and blows cold, however, the compressor rattles a little from age si it should be replaced . A rebuilt one is around $160.00
ENGINE CONDITION AND APPEARANCE
It is completely stock and still has the original metal vacuum line for the vacuum advance, original yellow top coil, and new reproduction windshield washer bag . Even small things like the spark plug wire retainers which are typically missing are there and the starter solenoid is dark red bakelite like the originals were, however, it should be detailed if you want to open the hood at shows, and I was actually planning on doing some detailing on it for her but haven't had the time yet
ENGINE OPERATING TEMPERATURE
It is very important to determine if any car you buy runs hotter than it should, because getting one to cool properly can easily cost $600.00 or more . This car has had the water pump replaced . One easy way to tell if a cars cooling system is good is to simply let it idle for around 10 minutes . If it has air conditioning, turn that on also . If it isn't hurling water out like Old Faithful Geyser by then, it is probably fine . This engine has NEVER run hot.
INTERIOR
The interior is original and nice looking . There are no tears in the seats . The headliner has a small tear that has been repaired.
ELECTRICAL
The electrical systems on these cars are very simple and any problems are easy to fix, however, everything on this particular car works including all the gauges, headlights, tail lights, brake lights, emergency flasher, interior lights, interior light dimmer and turn signals . Even the the turn signal canceler works and this part is often broken and costs around $200.00 to repair . It has a good battery and the alternator puts out over 14 volts with a load on it.
BODY
Every panel on this car is original with the factory date codes and spot welds clearly visible . It is very straight for a car of this age . If you look under the car you can see that the rockers and floors are laser straight and there is no heavy undercoating on the floors that could hide any rust.
RUST AND NEW PAINT
If someone is selling a car that has just been painted, you can be 99.999% certain that the paint will fall off after you wash it a few times and the rust it is hiding will comeback within a month or so, therefore, buyers should beware of newly painted cars . If someone tells you their 50 year old Mustang does not have any rust, they typically have no idea what they are talking about or are blind or never looked, or it has been "repaired" and hidden with bondo, or they are simply lying or they have a miracle car (which is the least likely) . The common places for rust on these cars even in California and Arizona where there is no snow is in the lower front corners of the doors where the outside rusts first, and just in front or behind the rear wheel at the bottom of the panels, and the floor pans . Minor rust from rainwater in any of these areas can be easily and inexpensively fixed . Rust from salted roads can cost a LOT to fix . This car has a small spot around 3" in diameter where there are some bubbles in the lower rear section of the right front fender where dirt gets thrown up from the tires which then holds water when the car is washed or driven through a puddle etc . There is a 1/16" bubble on the left rear wheel well . That's about it, big deal.
PAINT
It was repainted only once on the outside several years ago . There are a few chips and scratches but no lifting or peeling and it still looks very nice an original type car.

ADDITIONAL PARTS
My friend is a dealer for Scott Drake Products which is one of the biggest aftermarket parts suppliers for vintage Mustangs and they make very high quality parts . Some of them are from the original Ford tooling and many of them are licensed by Ford . I will sell you any parts that Scott Drake makes for 15% to 20% under suggested retail . This is FAR less than you can buy them from any vendor or from Ebay, and if you plan to do some cosmetic restoration on this car or any other Mustang you might have, this will save you a lot of money.
