1964 Ford Mustang Description

1964 1/2 Mustang D Code Coupe
Call 864-907-0740 if you have questions or want to come see it. This is the one I will regret selling because I have never seen a mustang this solid before and I have owned hundreds of them. In 1964 when this car was ordered, the mustang was a "secretary's car" and not looked at as a hot rod. Someone ordered this car with a (D Code) 289 4 bbl, 4 speed which makes it a rare combination.
90,220 miles and I believe this is original miles. I have owned it since 2003 and the guy before me owned it since 1976. It was used as an occasional 1/8 mile racer before I bought it. It still has the posi traction rear end in it which is a true posi because it chirps the tires when you turn at slow speeds. I changed the gear to a 3:55 and used it as a daily driver for a while. I since have removed the engine and used it in another project.
Engine - Does not have one but originally was a 289 4 bbl
Transmission - C4 Automatic built to race - Originally was a 4 speed manual and still has the clutch pedal
Wheels/Tires - still has skinny race tires on front and wheels from the 90's
Interior - All original interior except for the front seats. Carpet is actually original to 1964. You can tell by the sides where there is vinyl coming up the sides. Rear seat is original and needs reupholstered
Body - Painted in the 90's and was a fair job... Extremely solid. As far as I can tell they are all the original panels. No rust anywhere.
