1966 Ford Mustang CV Description

PLEASE HAVE YOUR MONEY READY WHEN YOU BID - DO NOT WASTE MY TIME OR YOURS BY BIDDING AND NOT HAVING YOUR FINANCIAL AFFAIRS IN ORDER.
1966 Ford Mustang convertible- 3 owner car- Original Charlotte, NC car- Spent last 40+ years in South Georgia w/2nd owner- All matching numbers- Original and spare set of keys- Original door-tag- Original factory RED car- Original pony interior- Original convertible top boot- 34,367 original miles
Car's intake was changed from a factory FoMoCo 2bbl to a Holley 4bbl, about 40 years ago, and the owner kept the original factory-take-off 2bbl intake andcarburetor & it comes with the car. Car was painted about 25 years ago - On a scale from 1 to 10 I would put the paint at a 4 - The car is old, unrestored and a bit tired - Car appears to have had floor pans but quarter panels are original - There is typical rust on the car as it is 51 years old and never been restored - Thepassanger side torque box isrusted and may need to be replaced. The trunk floor on the drivers side has some pinholes that will need to be addressed and thepassenger side door bottom has allot of rust (but the drivers side does not have as much) - I am thinking water got trapped in the inside of the door and over decades it rusted out the bottom of that one door? You also have several littlebubbles on the front of the hood (where the letters O and D aremissing). There is other small bubbles andareas of rust around the car but nothing that would require panel replacement. The top goes up and down fine - The top has a clear back plasticwindow and the only flaw in the topis a small cut near the center of the top that is less then 1/2 an inch in size and does not go thru the top so thus it does not allow water into the car.
When I bought the car it had not been driven for over 10 years. I brought a new battery with me, carb cleaner, 5 gal of gas & some basic tools and within 20 minutes had it running & driving. Drove it 50 miles and the brakes started to lock up when they got hot (factory 4 wheel drum) - Using my local brake shop I paid over $ 2,000.00 to have the entire factory-correct brake system replaced - New everything including an original master cylinder rebuild. Drove it home from there and have had no further issues - Since that time I havedone thefollowing to the car:
- New battery- New upper and lowerradiator hoses- New gas tank, lines & sending unit- New correct carpet with underlayment- All fluids drained/replaced- Transmission serviced
Things that I have not gotten to:
- Radio does not work (it is a late 1970's PIONEER unit)- Passengerside rear window does not roll down- Will need shocks and tiresif you plan on driving it. The tires are very hard (though theystill have lots of tread on them) and the shocks are very old- Electrical gremlins under-dash
