1979 Ford Fiesta MK1 Total Restoration, Runs perfectly LOW MILES survivor
1979 Ford Fiesta Base Description
This is a fully restored 1978/79 (titled as a 79) German built (Koln) Ford fiesta with the 1600cc 4 speed Manual. It is the base model, even the AM/FM Radio is a Factoy Ford Unit. The exterior has been fully restored, it's all steel, bring your magnet and check it out. This is a full restoration and rebuild right down to the wiring harness (which is the German Spec. btw). All of the Emissions junk for the US market has been removed.
The bottom of this car looks as good as the top, i have a full shop lift in my garage and every inch of this car top and bottom has been gone through.
If you went back in time to 1978 I don't think you could find a Fiesta this nice.
There are stabilizer bars added on the front and the rear, that's the only performance upgrade to this car.
The Wiring Harness, Carb and everything emissions related has been restored to GERMAN standards. All of the nasty EPA stuff for the American market has been removed. The American 5 Mph bumbers are still intact. The front bumper has never been drilled for a license plate.

What does Wikipedia say about the first generation Fiesta's?
The Fiesta was initially available in Europe with the Valencia 957cc (58.4cuin)I4(high compression and low compression options), and 1,117cc (68.2cuin) engines and in Base, Popular, L, GL (1978 onward), Ghia and S trim, as well as avan. The US Mark I Fiesta was built inCologne, Germany but to slightly different specifications; US models were Base, Decor, Sport, and Ghia, the Ghia having the highest level of trim.[7]These trim levels changed very little in the Fiesta's three-year run in the US, from 1978 to 1980. All US models featured the more powerful 1,596cc (97.4cuin) engine, (which was the older "Crossflow" version of the Kent, rather than the Valencia) fitted with a catalytic converter and air pump to satisfy strict Californian emission regulations), energy-absorbing bumpers, side-marker lamps, round sealed-beam headlamps, improved crash dynamics and fuel system integrity
