1970 Ford F-100 Description

Classic 1970 Ford F-100 Truck Runs Well HOTROD/Restore?

I sold this truck on e-bay three months ago but was never paid; the buyer was just a bid-raiser and had no interest in this truck.

After hemming and hawing, I decided to put it up again because I am moving and because of the the previously-mentioned trouble of driving in a dense city as is.

The original listing is below and I have a link to a bunch of videos I took of different parts of the truck that people would be interested in (engine compartment, start-up, undercarriage, etc.) video link:

Instant street cred and a great HOT ROD or Restoration project. I bought this truck as a shop truck but once I had it I thought it could be a lot more than what I was going to use it for.

Truck starts, runs, and drives. Just did $900 worth of repairs fixing the steering column/ignition(keys)/electric/new battery.

I do not want to sell this truck.

But, I live in a dense city (Washington, DC) and this truck is better suited for country and open road. The lack of power steering is notorious for trucks of this era and is present in this model so weaving in-and-out of city traffic with taxis who don’t know how to drive is not going to happen. Also, I want a shorter stopping distance (5,000 lbs takes a sec to fully stop) for distracted pedestrian tourists sight-seeing.

My wife and I have discussed restoring it or turning it into a hot rod/low-rider but I really don’t have the time for it right now. If you have a son or daughter this might be a good project together. This is the cheapest listing you will find for this classic, especially one in such good condition AND that runs!

Manual transmission with a good clutch (H-stick on the floor NOT three-on-the-tree).

People turn, look, smile, and wave. I’ve even had people pull up next to me shouting “Is that a 1970!?”. I think a lot of people have fond memories of the bench seats (if you know what I mean)...

Typical rust/discoloration for the MidAtlantic. Not sure what the previous owner (only one to my knowledge) changed about the body other than adding a bedliner and removing the front letters. Tires are a little worn-out. Body is solid.

Again, starts, runs, and drives well.

Because I am not desperate to sell this might be a little higher than most peer-to-peer sales for this make/model BUT, the easier you make this sale for me, the more I am willing to negotiate...

If you want to see any specific parts of the truck not included in the posted photos let me know.

Thanks for looking!
