1967 mustang GTA fastback, MCA-AACA Gold and Grand National 1st Place every time
1967 Ford Mustang GTA Description
Build date 11/22/66 & delivered to Rice & Holman Ford in Cherry Hill, N.J.I have owned this car for 30 years, bought it from the widow of the original owner in Cherry Hill, N,J. He bought it for his daughter to use while she was in college and then he used it to go play golf. It has a total of 39906 miles on it.I purchased it in 1986, drove it locally for 2 years, put about 2,000 miles on it.1988 to 1992 I and many of my friends did a total restoration of every nut, bolt, and washer on this car.It was a total of about 2,000 hours plus the paint work. There was no rust or any other damage to the car as it was not undercoated from Factory. This was my main reason to make this my project. The car has 13 coats of lacquer with the last 3 mixed with clear. Since this project was completed I have only driven it from the trailer to the show spot and back to the trailer. Total of less than 10 miles. First show was in Nov. 1992 it was an MCA show and it won first place. Since then MCA has given out Gold instead of First Place. It has always been Gold awards every time up and down the east coast. When showing it at AACA shows it has received First Place Jr, Senior First Place and repeated three time Grand National First Place awards. Last Grand National was in Tn. in 2012. The wheels and tires have less than 10 miles on them, The spare has 0 miles. Chrome was redone on the original parts instead of buying repro parts. Upper and lower control arms are concourse correct by Max Koslasky of Broken Arrow, OK. I had to send him my originals or he would not sell you a redone set. He had a machine that put the correct stamp on the rivet heads. Other suspension parts were still available from local Ford dealers at the time. Redid the floorpans with a 2 inch grinder, took a whole winter to do that and then repainted with correct red oxide primer. Inner fender detail with Ford recondition black and firewall. Over the wheel is a schuntz spray and then exterior color overspray. Same on the rear wheels. Has all original glass except the windshield that was replace with the correct Ford markings. Interior is original except for the carpet and dashpad. Wood style steering wheel was professionally redone to new condition. This was a factory GTA package. Options include: Deluxe Interior,Tilt Away Sport Wood Wheel, AM Radio,Upper and Lower Consoles,Power Front Disc Brakes,Power Steering,Automatic Transmission,Style Steel Wheels,Engine Dress Up Kit and Lime Gold Poly Paint. This Style 1967 Mustang was reinvented in the early 2000s by Ford and looks like the ones on the market today. I have a lot more pics but ebay would not let me put them on here.
