***1947 FORD SEDAN RAT ROD STREET ROD CRATE 350/350 AC PS PDB 1300 MILES SINCE BUILT*** This is a flat black 1947 Ford sedan that the owner asked me to list due to health concerns. This car only has 1358 miles since it was completely rebuilt. The professional mechanic that built the car is a friend of mine and has built many vehicles over the last 30+ years. This is a solid four door sedan that was taken off the frame. Frame was blasted and coated; new body bushings were installed. Chassis Engineering components were used for the front and rear ends. The front end is Mustang II style rack and pinion with power steering. You can see the front is much lower than stock. There are power disc brakes on the front. The rear is an 8-inch Ford with parallel leaf springs and lowering blocks. Brakes on the rear are drum. All brake parts, suspension and steering parts are new. The engine is a crate GM/Chevy 350 (295 horsepower) with Edelbrock four barrel carburetor and intake with coated headers. The transmission is a Turbo 350. This car is an excellent driver with power steering and power brakes. It has Cold Air Products Air, Heat and Defrost. The wiring is new. Battery is behind the rear seat in the trunk. A local upholstery shop created the red and black interior using Mercury mini-van front seats. Column is tilt. Car has electric wipers, full VDO instrumentation and a Super Sun Tach. Stereo is a Sony AM/FM/CD. All glass is new and tinted. The owner had a local Maaco paint the car hot rod flat black. There are 3 or 4 places where the paint has chipped. This car has been completely rebuilt, runs, drives, rides great. It is a great driver. The owner does not have a computer but you can email for his phone number if you'd like to set up a time to see the car. Bumpers and grill bars are new. Dual exhaust is new with Flowmaster mufflers. Car is a great driver. Front tires are P215X65X15 on American Racing Hopster wheels. Rears are P255X60X15. All glass is new and tinted. Nothing was overlooked in building the car. Car sits lower than factory stock. Trunk opens and closes correctly. There is a third brake light behind the rear glass along with 6X9 speakers for the stereo. Interior has plenty of room for passengers. Front seats are from a Mercury mini-van. Local upholstery shop created the interior. Chrome trim on dash has complete instrumentation. Seats are comfy and adjustable. Gauges are white face VDO. Banjo steering wheel sits on GM tilt column. Car has electric wipers, air, heat and defrost. Stereo is a Sony AM/FM/CD that sounds great Sun tachometer in dash Top of rear seat has a fold down armrest and is from a Honda. The bottom of the seat was built by the upholstery shop. New headliner Door panels match the seat upholstery Doors open and close properly Engine is a crate 350/295HP from GM. It only has 1358 miles on it. Engine fires right up, runs and sounds great. Radiator is from Walker and has a two speed electric fan. It has finned aluminum valve covers and a chrome air cleaner. Intake is an Edelbrock with 600 Edelbrock carburetor with electric choke. Chrome power master cylinder Note new wiring and column going into the power rack Power steering Alternator and compressor sit up high - radiator has electric fan Ceramic coated headers go into a new exhaust system. Note the wire looms and thick red plug wires. Firewall and HEI distributor - the AC unit is inside and does not have hoses going through the firewall. Underside of the hood Trunk is upholstered. The wire is for a battery charger. Underside of trunk lid. Panel pulls down to reveal the spare and battery Under the battery is a switch to cut off all power Clear title Car has a Mustang II type front end. Note stainless brake line going to the caliper. The front suspension is bolt-in from Chassis Engineering. It is a Mustang II type - note sway bar. Passenger side front suspension Frame has been sand blasted and coated. Trunk pan and inner rockers were replaced with new metal. Frame was in excellent condition and needed no repair. Note exhaust going through one of the holes. Chassis Engineering provided the mounts and parallel leaf springs for the Ford 8-inch rear. Rear has 2:79 gears. Driver side rear suspension. Gas tank is new. Grill bars and front bumper are new. Hood release is inside the car. Hood is smooth. Wipers are electric. Driver front fender New tinted glass - electric wipers All four doors open and close with that nice thud sound. Running board covers are new. Solid rust free body Oval back glass - exhaust extensions are stainless Third brake light You have to love the bulbous shape of the rear of the car. Body is straight All glass is tinted. Note chip on passenger door. There is also a chip on edge of trunk lid. If you are seriously interested in this car my advice is to come and see it.
