Super rare 1967 Ford military Bronco. 4X4. Original. United States Navy.
1967 Ford Bronco Military Description
Up for auction today is a super rare 1967 Ford Bronco made by Ford under contract for the United States military. There was only 120 of these rare vehicles made for the military in 1967. Those 120 were then divided equally among four military branches so this is one of 40 made for the United States Navy in 1967. It has the original straight six engine and 3 speed manual transmission. It does have the military ID plate bolted to the dash but is hard to read in the picture. It has both factory bumpers, the rear bumper includes the pintle hitch. Both headlight covers are also still intact. Upon hooking up a battery and an external gas can the Bronco does start, run and drive although the brakes are not functioning. The Bronco does have the standard rust spots as in under the hood on both sides of the inner fenders near the firewall, the frontfloor pans have some rust holes and the rockers have been replaced at some time due to rust. Included with the Bronco are brand new replacement front floor pans and new rockers. Lower fenders and lower quarters are also soft and will need some attention. The body does have dings all over it and a dent on the driver's side quarter panel. The hood is severely dented. The roof has holes drilled in it in various places where the antennas were that the military had installed. The tires and wheel are not original to this truck. There will be a good used tire installed to replace the flat one seen in the photo for shipping purposes. The frame is solid. This body although needing a complete restoration is not too bad for the year and all the replacement parts are available to restore this. This is a very rare Bronco needing a full restoration. If you want the full history on these military Bronco's you can google "1967 Ford military Bronco" and it will direct you to websites dedicated to the history of these rare vehicles and the handful that are still in existence. This was bought at a military auction in New Jersey a few years ago. This is being sold as is, where is, as seen in the photos (with the exception of replacing a tire for transport purposes). There are no warranties expressed or implied. This must be picked up from my house in Maine. It is sold non running. Please look at all the photos as they are part of thedescription. Please ask any questions before bidding. There is no title needed in the state of Maine for a vehicle this age. You will only be provided with a bill of sale.
